Yes very odd Especially with wanyama out.Anyone find it strange that Oakley-Boothe got some minutes in central midfield in the tour while Onomah did not?

Apparently he was training alone in the open training session so probably had a knock.Yes very odd Especially with wanyama out.

Hearing Aston Villa have landed the loan signing of Spurs midfielder Josh Onomah. @MirrorFootball
I mean, if we're signing Barkley, it kind of makes sense. What the hell is going on? Why leave ourselves short in CM? 4 CM 1 of whom also plays CB? Im lost here.
Good. Let him go and play. Clear poch wasn't going to use him where he should (Brucey fucking better).Darren LewisVerified account@MirrorDarren16m16 minutes ago

Nope. But I doubt he lied when he said it. That was probably his intention at the time. But, things change. But Poch named him as one of those who'll be getting more involved the coming season. First time Poch has told a lie?
I don't know if it is a change in Poch's stance - only the future will tell...Brilliant news if true as it means Poch has softened his stance on loaning youth players - Does youth players the world of good playing regular competitive games imo
Why?This to me also suggests that sissoko ain't going anywhere.
Yeah loaning out a CM to make room for an AM who is replacing Sissoko really makes senseI mean, if we're signing Barkley, it kind of makes sense.
Why?
Well Poch clearly doesn't see Onomah as a CM at the moment, does he?Yeah loaning out a CM to make room for an AM who is replacing Sissoko really makes sense
1. We had those CM options last seasonBecause we can't just have wanyama, winks, dembele and dier for the middle, especially when dier will play mainly at centre back, that leaves us too light in the midfield two.
I know last season sissoko played mainly attacking right, but lamela is on his way back and if we're playing 3421 then I think sissoko will more likely be played in the midfield 2 position as he definitely can't play as one of the two behind kane.

2. Sissoko played in CM once in an emergency against Burnley
3. Poch apparently thinks Barkley can play CM
