I thought Modric said he wanted to leave Spurs to go to chelsea because they are a big club, basically as I remember it what he said was just about the worst thing any Spurs player has ever said about us when trying to force a move but if you choose to forget all that fair enough.
I'm not even sure Danny Rose is trying to get a transfer this summer, what he said could just as easily be read as a warning to the club that they can't go on as they are.
I never said that what Modders or Bale or Adebayor (or whichever player you want to list) have said wasn't bad.
I was referring to this:
“As a starting 11 we have one of the best in the league, without a shadow of a doubt, but after that . . .
Maybe it was a waning, and it may be an accurate a statement (or not), but he has just called out his teammates in public.
Modirc criticised the club, i think Bale may have i know Adebayor did..they questioned the commitment of the club, of the club ownership and of the leadership. They may have called out the manager. But they didn't call out their teammates, at least not publicly.
A player being a t*** is nothing new. A player agitating for a move is something we have seen before. But through the sales we have witnessed before (and we have seen a few) it is exceedingly rare to see a player throw his teammates in front of a bus even to make a point.
Considering that our squad on the pitch has been reliant not only on their individual skill but the collective belief in each other and the strategy set out by Poch i have an issue with any player potentially upsetting the squad (top to bottom) morale in public.
