@SugarRay Give it a rest mate. He's the best left back we've had in God knows how long. Show some respect for the spurs team that's come 2nd and 3rd the last 2 seasons and the players that got us there...

Let's not get all entitled n shit.

Anyone defending him has totally lost the plot.

Yes, our transfer window has been a complete shambles and rather pathetic. But going to the Sun with it 2 days before the season starts is actively disrupting our season before it's even begun.

He's a disgrace.

To the fucking Sun too, that absolute scum of a rag. I judge him for that alone. Fuck him. Never, ever want to see him in a Spurs shirt again. It's time we lauded those who want to be a part of our club and fuck anyone who is remotely against us. This summer we've had Verts, Hugo, Kane, Toby and Dembele coke out and say we don't need anyone to improve. These are the guys we need at this club. Not the likes of Rose. His outburst shows he belongs on United/City/Chelsea's bench ( because that's where's he will be once Poch isn't in his life )

Show some respect? Not sure what that even means to be honest. I show my respect watching them every week and cheering them no matter what.

He's been great. For 1.5 out of 9 seasons at the club. He was brilliant until he got injured last season. Still doesn't mean he can slag my club off in the press though, especially when he plays for us. He's a good player but as a person he's a wanker, he's shown that with his pathetic outburst.

He hasn't slagged off the club.
He's been honest in the press which as a society we have an issue with. I wish he hadn't but I can't begrudge him being honest.
Also he's the fucking shit at football. Best left back in the league. So it's daft to slate his ability now because he's said these things.

So, Rose likes bragging about always speaking his mind and saying it like it is, yet doesn't actually have the balls to openly say it's a transfer to another club what he actually wants?? I never really liked Rose, but I didn't know he was such a pussy hypocrite. Hope we get rid of him before the international break.

This. His outburst shows he lacks bollocks. Running off crying to a red top rag? Wanker of the highest order and all that's wrong with football

Let's, for one second just try and remember one thing...

This is Danny fucking Rose we are talking about!!!!??!

This club has had some of the greatest players to have graced British football pitches proudly wear our shirt. Be it Blanchflower, Mackay, Greaves, Hoddle, Klinsmann, Gascoigne, Modric and co, yet suddenly Danny Rose's opinion matters? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Fuck him. Royally. Dry and right in his fucking arse. He is but a mere blip, another name on the roster of those who happened to wear our shirt, and that's after 9 years "service". Two bob little **** who suddenly thinks he's cracked it after a few England caps. Danny...Ashley Cole you really are not. Granted, he was a much better player but that at least gave him an excuse to be a self entitled little wanker, Rose is giving it Bertie big bollocks after two decent seasons in an age where, weirdly, fairly decent full backs are rare as rocking horse shat. I guess that's haleped to his over inflated opinion of himself.

No, Modric didn't wear our shirt with pride. He pissed on it when he wrote a love letter to Chelsea. Sure, a very talented player, but what he did was much worse than what Rose did.

"Chelsea are a great club, they play in the Champions League every year, they have great players, they are ambitious and have an ambitious owner who wants to invest in the club and make it win the Champions League, the Premier League and other titles."

"I'll want to go in a good way, a friendly way so I can stay friends with them". Sounds good, but he didn't show up to train and forced his way out of the club.

"It's a short period [your career] and you want to fulfil your personal ambitions as a football player, win trophies, play Champions League football every year." Rose said something similar."

So no, don't talk about Modric like he respected the club, because he didn't. I don't care if he says positive things about us after his move. He acted like a cu*t.

Honest? In his own "exclusive" interview he says it's never about money, then in the same sentence says he needs more money ( paid what I believe I'm worth )
Anyone who describes themselves as 'very opinionated' is nearly always a complete **** who talks too much with very little to say.

He has zero substance as a man. A real man doesn't go crying and bleating to the press, and even worse, the scum rag that derides anybody who doesn't fit their disgusting agenda. He's a fine player and quite possibly the finest left back in the league based on the last 18 months. But so what? He's nothing like big enough to question Tottenham Hotspur. Even if he is right ( which he isn't )
You've got United fans, the club he seemingly wants to crawl to, saying 'don't buy him, he's overrated', 'surely we can do better' etc

Poor little mite. I suspect in two years when he's hoping for a midweek run out he won't be slagging them off then. Who the fuck does he think he is?

To be fair, I'll give you that. You are correct about Modric. What he did was massively insulting. I stand corrected(y)

I disagree. We set a precedent. Man City are our rivals for the title and have been strengthened by Walker, as FB was one of their weak spots. I don't mind that we've not signed players yet, but it is clearly seen as a sign of weakness by others - attempting to be exploited by Conte, the media and now by some of our players.

I thought the sale of Carrick, Berbatov, Modric and Bale were pivotal moments when we took steps back. With Carrick in the side we missed out on a Champions' League berth by a single lasagna, replaced him with Zokora and Huddlestone and were consigned to the Europa League for several years. The loss of Berbatov and Keane left us with another sacked manager. With Modric, Bale and VdV in the side we played in the Champions' League and looked as though we were on the up, then had yet another setback when they left, resulting in AVB's sacking.

Now were are, after some years on the ascendancy. 5th, 3rd, 2nd - stuff of dreams. NOW is the time to go for the kill. Losing both fullbacks - so important to our style of play will be of significant detriment. Sure, we won't be finishing 10th. But unless we can replace the likely outgoing Danny Rose with someone of equal or better quality, we won't be improving.

With Modric Bale and VDV we failed to qualify for the CL, and that was before City were invented.

Walker and Rose are not world class fb's. They weren't even top echelon fb"s until Pochettino taught them something and put them in a system that suits them.

Selling Walker and replacing him with Trippier is upgrading our attack and maybe marginally weakening our defence, maybe...eventually it's upgrading both with KWP, it's nothing like losing any of those players who were irreplaceable in the short term (some in the long term as they were pretty unique). And we survived that.

Selling Walker is not pivotal. And if losing those other major players wasn't fatal, this certainly won't be.

I think we will struggle to emulate last season, this season, but it's got very little to do with losing Walker or even Rose, it's more to do with playing every game away from home effectively and the two Manchester clubs looking very strong.

Walker is the first key player we've sold since becoming the so-called "new Spurs" and actually challenging for the league. It suggests maybe we haven't changed after all and shows weakness. Still the feeder club, still vulnerable to the grasps of apparently 'bigger' clubs.

It doesn't make players more aware that they could earn more elsewhere, but it does set an example and a precedent. It shows that we'll sell if the player pouts and teams offer enough money, no matter our standing in the league.

Sorry, but when did we become "new spurs"? We are still doing what Spurs have been doing (following the same model) since the Levy/Arnesen revolution. We just got ourselves the best manager we've had for a few decades and this has corresponded with producing one of the best strikers for nothing, gathering a team together like Eriksen, Vertonghen, Alderwireld, Alli, Wanyama etc for relative peanuts (as we do).

Barcelona had to sell Neymar because his release clause was met. They had no choice.

If the player didn't want to sign a PSG contract he wouldn't be there now. Release clauses are bollocks as we saw with Suarez. PSG have just done to Barca what happens to every other club in the food chain.

I may sound wierd saying this but I believe PSG done this to make a statement rather than actually believe they actually wanted him that bad or believed he was worth it. I mean not saying he won't be a success but it's more a "look what we can fucking do". Maybe to also payback Barca's intrest in Veratti.

Some Tottenham team-mates, who are thought to include the defender Toby Alderweireld, yesterday asked Rose to explain the complaints he made. The left back went through each of his points and is said to have told the players that he did not want to leave the club.

Agree with all your posts tonight bud. There are some on here that just can't help but to look for the facet of an alternative point because they feel they have to explore all sides of the equation. You're very correct though.

Been here since 2004, some of these forum members would argue the popular toss of the coin if your opinion was 180 degrees different

Danny Rose has stepped beyond the line and anyone that condones his behaviour is delusional.
