That free kick we had when their defensive line pressed high up and we had acres of space between the keeper and the line to put a dangerous ball in, but it was defended easily. What are we learning from our dead ball set pieces?

So clearly the wrong formation by Poch. Trying to go toe to toe with city it’s embarrassing he can’t see it. Southampton and West Ham put up a better show than we have playing 352.
We were playing the same way we did when we beat them at home last year and he was a tactical genius then.

Lamela and Aurier would be a start I assume? Alli and Trips off.

Drop Eriksen into a tighter 3 with Winks and Dembele.
Trips off could possibly be a waste of a sub for now. Sane is a match for anyone, the key is to stop him getting one on one. I'd bring Lamela on that side to stifle him.

Agree we should flood the midfield, Alli or Eriksen off.

If we can get some control and tighten up we still have a chance.

you so call supporters on here kill me , city are atm best club side in Europe if not world football , we are missing our club talisman in Tolby our steel in victor who allows deli more freedom to roam and link the play with kane and also missing sanchez who was part of a tremendous back three , please will you give the lads some slack .

They're missing 3 key players also to be fair

Missing Toby, Sanchez and Victor for this game. Being without all three of those calm defensive heads is unfortunate

City have been good and nobody disputes they are a class act.i just want to see us put up a fight and doing the bare minimum.when you are watching alli letting fernadinho running off him or trippier not putting his foot in that annoys me.i dont expect us to be dominate and will lose more ofte than win but bloody work hard and compete which i dont see all 11 players doing currently.

Don’t get the comparison? Winks is a ball player Parker was a destroyer. Winks has been off form for a few weeks now, if he is not keeping possession and ticking the play over? What is he doing? Sissoko has pace power strength and athleticism, he will/would have offered more than winks in this game

You'e right about Winks. He's bang out of poor.

Sissoko in the middle against the pressing of Citeh. He would have lost possession just as much if not more. He has 0 calmness on the ball.

The usual performance so far from us away from home against top 6....

Didn't expect any different so not getting upset today, all I want is to keep the scoreline down so I would take 1-0 now

City are like the rich man's version of us...it's like the level we are aspiring to be at yet they did it in two years whilst our will take 5.

Not sure how we bypass their press bug surely they will tire, just got to try and stay in the game until then.

No point sticking with a 433 against City. Should return to our tried and tested 352, Aurier and Foyth for Trippier and Eriksen/Alli. Throw Llorente on in the last 10-15 mins if we’re still in it.

Being piss poor at set pieces for many years now, I think we don't even practice set pieces.

Good point.. we are still playing very poorly though.. no composure or real game plan which I feel merit a reasonable amount of criticism

Oh mate 100% a lot of their players are like that apparnetly they’re ‘winners’ embarrassing but it’s all part of how they play. Press keep the ball then clever fouls and dives/going over easily.
In the meantime we have an extersential crisis that Ali can be a bit like that as supporters. Never seen him ask for anyone to be booked. Are we dianosaurs?!
