Ederson completed more passes (26) than both Christian Eriksen (24) and Dele Alli (17) during Man City 4-1 Spurs today.

What makes me laugh is the number of pages a match thread has when we lose compared to one for a game we win convincely well like against stoke last saturday.

Every single one of these players should hang their heads in shame! Not one of them can put their hands up and say, well at least I gave 100%.

And poch’s insistence on playing woeful out of form players like alli, who clearly is taking a leaf out of walkers mantra and downed tools is beyond belief!

City didn’t even have to be out of 2nd gear, how can a team who finished 2nd last year. Be so so so poor! I know we’ve injuries in key positions, but the players who are chosen still have to fight and try, and the epitome of that was dier just missing that ball, didn’t even looked fussed! Fucking shut house!

Indeed, Lamela was our best player and he was only on the pitch for 15 minutes.

I’d sell my soul to the devil (if I had one) for spurs to win the league before I die and and being taken over but a multi billionaire with unlimited fund is the only way I can see it happening

We don`t spend money nearly always a zero net spend cant really expect to win anything to be honest

Nobody should be surprised by that just now. We got totally outplayed there last season and escaped with a lucky draw. Now they’re probably the best team in Europe and we are a poorer side this season and have two of our best players missing.

What’s really disappointing is that we just continued to play it out from the back really slowly and brainlessly expecting it to suddenly work.

But we are supposedly a good side, top 5. We should at least matched them in some departments, not losing out all and gotten thrashed.

Or at least a manager of a top 5 should have some balls or sense of reading in a game to limit the damage earlier in the game, not making pointless subs from 76th minutes till 88th minute.

The point is taken they are a good side which they should be. Are we not? But today's games showed really we are not, when we should be. We didn't behave like one. That's really shame IMHO. It really is.
Agreed

Starting Trippier against Sane was suicidal from the start by Poch. And then completely inept and unable to make a sub in reasonable time to change it up and subbing in Davies in the 88th minute... Well, I don't even know what to say to that.

Thing that scares me the most, is how tired, slow, lethargic and unimaginative we have looked of late. We just seem very out of character. I’m frustrated by today but being realistic I don’t think I’m that surprised by the loss, and really, we are missing a lot of players so letting in 4 is again, not really that shocking. I would say that our team still looks very thin in midfield and attack and players like Alli and Dier really need to be dropped for a few matches. Obviously we had no other defensive options but Dier was trash today. Luckily Lamela is back and he really needs to have Alli’s place here on out.

How good would Messi be in England on a cold Tuesday night at Stoke? Look at this city team for your answer.

Me and my pud team mates after 8 pints would look good vs stoke on a cold Tuesday night nowadays

None of our players turned up tonight, not one!

Winks offered nothing at all, neither did Ali and if Dier and Rose want to go to United for £100M then they can fuck off as well!

Dele anonymous again and adding to his reputation as a dirty player. Also that little lift/lob he tried, fair enough we have seen that work before but i thought a simple through ball was on. This stuff just isn't working for him at all at the moment, i think he's started to believe his own hype. Eriksen totally ineffective again and in my opinion pulling out of tackles even players like him should be making (quality finish though).

Lamela again looked like our best player in all respects in the small amount of time he had. Even getting the ball out of the net at 4-1 to get the game restarted. He cannot get to full match fitness quick enough for me.

Some of our passing around the back was just embarrassing to watch, it actually looked cowardly, none of the players wanted it.

I was shouting for Dembele to be pulled off at 70mins while it was still 1-0 despite him doing ok up until then and Winks for, and I can't believe i'm saying this but, Sissoko. No way we were drawing or winning as it was and i thought that might have given us a slim chance.

Get Lamela to sign a fat contract and soon.

Nothing to do with money. Bournemouth Southampton West Ham held them till the 85th minute. Poch tried to be clever and got horribly exposed.

Not comparable, there would be as many pages if we won against a top team.

We needed to either play game plan we used against Madrid or we needed to press and not allow them time on the ball. We did neither and it made it so easy for them.

What pissed me off more than anything today though was watching Rose and dele lose the ball high up the pitch and make zero effort to get back, none what so ever, and it happened with both of them numerous times. I would honestly take good offers for both of them tbh. Rose is already in his head gone, and Dele is just believing his own hype far too much. I can forgive mistakes but a lack of effort to get back and defend is just simply not acceptable.

The price for rose must be dropping with every new piss poor performance
