I didn't expect anything today but the performance is what hurts the most.... no passion or pride and some of them players want 100k per week....

The bit that hurts is we were so close and again we are now on our downward spiral. The fans who laugh at Arsenal, would rather be in their position than us at present.... they have won far more than us (most seasons they win a cup) and finish in CL every season bar last and 99% certain they will finish 4th this year.......

Money is ruining football but its the only way we stay in touch so Levy/ENIC have got to go when stadium comes so we can start winning things, but equally Poch has got to start learning soon, he rotates the full backs every week yet doesn't rotate Alli/Eriksen when they are absolutely shit, heads clearly turned but to be honest I don't care if they leave after their performances this season so far

They forced us into those errors. They basically play a high press and we struggled to deal with it. Also the fact we had no defensive midfielder just meant they had all the time in the world to play through our midfield.

I don't disagree with that on general run of play, it's a repeat problem and we simply must address it, but for the goals it was piss poor and we only had ourselves to blame. 1st - no comment needed and something that soft just ruins the match for us. 2nd - Kane needlessly coughs up the ball and then Lloris chucks it in the net. 3rd Dembele was under little pressure, Trippier gets himself into no mans land instead of just dropping and focusing on not allowing that pass. 4th is just poor defending as well. Too many of these types of games where we have some really weak defending and errors (and often errors on top of errors) rather than the opposition having to do anything remarkable. If you aspire to be at the top it isn't good enough.

A massive wake up call to Pochettino and Levy. We are a million miles away from City like we all knew anyway. So many of our players looked completely and utterly out of their depth tonight. All about trying to get 4th now. If we can't have our best team on the pitch we haven't got adequate backup. It's the same story every season. We obviously need strengthening in January like we did in the summer, but we won't.

City are going to walk the title and there's no other club that is capable of stopping them. Let's now start concentrating on getting a top four place - which is very obtainable for us.

And all fucking summer looking for a tricky attacking player, and end up with Llorente. Absolute load of bollocks, our transfer approach.
Yep- it was shriekingly obvious we needed a player like Salah, Mane or Sane. We batted our eyeslashes at Balde, who didn't even want us and ended up with the square root of fuck all in this area. And we didn't invest in central midfield.

Today was exactly the type of game where we needed to play Dier and probably Wanyama in front of the back three of Toby, Sanchez and Jan. But we couldn't, and we paid the price.

When City lose top-class players they can dip into their bottomless oil-well of players and replace like-for-like.

That's why it makes no sense to draw conclusions about how poor we are from a game like today, against a global corporation masquerading as a football club.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Totally agree buddy with Poch the same happened a Soton played amazing football but didn't really do much, just made players he worth a pile more money for there club. Bit like we are doing Walker, Rose,Dier Ali etc there all going to go for massive money and we will go backwards as Soton have done bit of a trend do you agree?
I think that there is a limit to what any manager can do without the resources to get in players on top salaries. Poch wasn't at Southampton for a long time so who knows where he could have taken them but they are a selling club and are pretty limited. I like Poch and am happy with him as manager. Hopefully the extra revenue from the new stadium will eventually allow us to enter the top tier or we are bought by someone who is willing to pay more in wages to attract elite players and i hope that Poch is there to benefit from that.

I honestly think poch has upset the dressing room he’s left Rose back in and forced Davies out again.

What does that tell you if you are a player?

The manager has his favourites as for me....Davies deserves to be in this team over Rose

Go have another lunch with Sir Alex, Poch. Have a dinner too.

Book a night in a hotel after that. You need it. We need it.

Also if walker really is the best right back in the league/world we got ripped off getting only 50 mill

There were people saying this at the time, along with people who decided Trippier was just as good because he tore apart a couple of bum teams..
