What the fuck
He didn't see the shot for the 2-d goal between Toby's legs if you watch from behind the goal. It wasn't easy to react, late. A different impression from the side angle.Just seen Wolves 2nd and 3rd goals. Think Lloris should have got them both. Poor.
I just don’t get how we look so much more tired then Liverpool do. I realise we had more players at the World Cup but Liverpool press twice as much as we do and they very rarely rotate. We on the other hand, ether through injury or Poch rotate a lot yet we looked exhausted. I understand someone like Kane being exhausted, but did Eriksen or Winks really play that much more then Firminho or Mane. Davies didn’t even go to the World Cup and he looks dead.
Previous two matches masked over a weak defence.
You know what- you are RIGHT. Holy shit I didn't even think about it but yeah- there were matches lately where I thought to myself "If (the other team) weren't so wasteful they'd have 4-5 goals by now."
It's true: those big wins masked a soft, shit defensive underbelly.
Its uncanny how you can see we're going through the motions sometimes and inviting trouble. Passing sideways, safe option, not trying to get goalscoring positions. That 2nd half was mindless and lethargic and I thought Poch was arresting the inevitable goals against by subbing Alli out, but it should have been Moura and a rocket up everyone's arse that came on. So frustrating, just when you think the penny has dropped, they all stand around looking at it.
Always tell myself to not let football affect my mood but it's hard when we're suddenly so shit. There's an acceptable way to drop points - having had some really bad luck in key decisions/situations that play out through a game, or if the opponents have a performance of a lifetime, but the way we tend to lose points is just plain unacceptable. If we're serious about going for a bloody title we can't possibly think it's OK to come out for a game, or a half, in second or third gear and basically handing the game to the opponent. This didn't have to happen in any way shape or form. Wolves were not particularly good today, it's just that we were complete shit, especially in that second half. Unacceptable. If/when Liverpool drop points this season I can assure you that it won't be in this manner, just folding over and basically thinking the game is won after 45 minutes.
Tiredness starts with the mind usually once that fatigues physically it then kicks in.I just don’t get how we look so much more tired then Liverpool do.
I put it mainly down to too many games in a short space of time.
It is amazing how the Premier League dicked us with the festive fixtures. Liverpool have another 2 days extra rest coming up having already had 2 days on us between Friday and Boxing Day.
Poch has to share some blame though. There were 7 players in the starting line up yesterday who have been run into the ground since the Arsenal cup game. Second half we were running on fumes and misplacing passes.
They should have all been benched yesterday and brought back for Cardiff followed by another rest at Tranmere. This would have kept them fresh for Chelsea.
Poch should've bought on Skipp for him. Stupid as Winks was offering little in that 2nd halfThe soft underbelly is because Dier is missing and we have no suitable deputy or competition. Same with City and fernandinho. Dier plays today we don't lose. I say this now having watched the goals again. First goal was awful defending. Seemed some hybrid of zonal and trackers. Sanchez didn't pick up boly run and Sissoko zonally didn't pick up the danger. Second goal however winks loses the midfield runner like gomez did for our goal at Everton last week. Dier is more natural at this and would of sniffed that out. Unfortunately winks again who had slotted in at cb when Toby ranged forward got caught ball watching and allowed the runner to sneak behind and then infront of him for the third. Again dier being adept at slotting in probably deals much better. Not winksies fault he's not a dm really...but showed a weakness in having winks as a dm. Not blaming winks at all, he's been admirably playing many minutes, but we need strength and nous in that role. We missed dier today...alongside winks.
The point is that we wouldn't have needed to had those players not been injured we would have been able to have rotated more and we would have beaten wolves. I am fine with buying players to improve us but we didn't lose yesterday because we haven't got good enough players.of all the players you mentioned lamela is the only one who can have any attacking impact from the bench, & we cant exactly rely on him to be fit for the rest of the season, son will be missing for a few games soon & llorente is awol, we have to pray we dont get any injuries in the attacking areas because moments like today where we aren't clinical like we have been, its the bench where you look to & hope for someone to help kill the game off
Exactly. The crowd around me just didn't get involved enough .
Perhaps you need to grow up, a lot of your posts just contradict the poster just for the sake of it, with added abuse. You have nothing to add in the slightest, almost 3000 imbecile posts. You should try and contradict yourself less, you come off as a proper plank sometimes!
Happy new year, sheep!
Is that so? Thanks for the research, I never knew you cared so much.Perhaps you need to grow up, a lot of your posts just contradict the poster just for the sake of it, with added abuse. You have nothing to add in the slightest, almost 3000 imbecile posts.
