Better I think.
I do hope so, it would be great to see some of our reserve and youth players make a positive impact on our first time. Its just been so long I have lost faith in it occuring.

If we are looking for a leftie Charlie Daniels might be a better option, but I do no think he would ever be Premeirship class as a winger. However his strength and stamina combined with his wing play suggest a bright future as a leftfullback.
With Lee/Bale ahead of him and the young Spanish left back being highly rated do you think he is likely to make it to our first team?

But if we do pluck a leftie out of the reserves I suspect it will be Rose. I have yet to see him, but he was considered a huge prospect at Leeds, so Poyet will know all about him.
Excellent point

Lets not be silly. O'Hara will never make it at Spurs. If he was good enough he would have been in the first team by now.

Or looking at it another way, if he wasn't good enough he would have been released by now.

He has had two impressive loan spells in League One, Edgar Davids thought it worth staying on after training to do extra work with him, under Martin Jol he spent most of last season as 17th man, and Ramos has been impressed enough to promote him to the bench.

Which is not to say he is going to make it, but if he didn't have something people would not think him worth the trouble.

Always annoys me when fans are eager to write off homegrown youngsters without ever having seen them play, while calling for some teenage import (whom they have also never seen) to be immediately promoted to the first team.

What is wrong with some people saying if he was good enough he would be in by now and he will not make it, was Ghaly good enough in the end no but he got more of a opportunity than O'Hara and other young players are so for F**k sake lets though them in and give them the game they need to learn their trade look at Steven Carr was OK at best when he come into the first team two seasons later was one of the best right backs in the league.

he's played 2 great passes, 1 lead to the assist for the goal.
Great decision, as Defoe was screaming for the ball, but would have got crowded out

He had a great game today - hats off to him, never lost the ball once, never looked flustered - could he possibly be our left side answer?

I'm really pleased for the kid, he must be beaming after that show

Good on Jamie O'Hara for taking his chance. :)

And good on Juande Ramos for sticking him in when BMJ - for whatever reason - never gave the lad a chance.

he looked quality today, and was keeping the ball at the end (where as the more experienced Berba and Malbranque were not)

great play for our goal (and he did use his right foot once, with a ball into berba's feet)

once we went a goal up we looke quality, the passing and movement was great to see.

He was fucking class today. Unlucky not to score, too. His effort was goal-bound.

Don't want to fall into 'Taarabt syndrome' but that was a fine 15 mins from the boy. As others have said his passing and holding on to the ball was terrific. But I also liked the fact that when there was just a few minutes to go he had a chance to run down the wing, but it would have involved a risky dribble, so rather than lose the ball, he doubled back and used his body to shield while he looked around for a simple pass.

And that grin at the end shows that he knows he did ok. Can't wait to see more of him.
