It amazes me how many opposition fans think we're in incredible amounts of debt because of the stadium.
If there's one thing Arsenal taught us...

It startles me the amount of people who don’t understand even the basics of debt. Quite worrying from an economic perspective if that’s a high proportion of the population.

Many of them probably have a mortgage themselves, which is pretty much what we're doing with the stadium debt.

The stadium debt repayments are circa £25-30m I believe, and the stadium likely earns at least £50m more than WHL did so we're likely better off than before the stadium came in.

Covid kicked us in the nuts but now the stadium is generating income again the debt will not be an issue.

From page 16 of their No more Nuno thread (there's 18 pages!):

-He went into an already very strong but underperforming Chelsea squad (they won the title twelve months before he arrived) and was able to buy Kante straight away (who had just won Leicester the league).

He also went into Inter at a time when they were a well established part of the top four in Italy and was able to bring in the likes of Lukaku, Sanchez and Eriksen who were all massive players for the standard of that league at the time.

It remains to be seen what kind of a tune he can get out of this current Spurs squad, to me their best XI looks short of even top six as it stands. They have a decent front three to work with (if Kane can be bothered), but not a lot else if truth be told.

-Thinking this is the best way to see it. Conte has joined a club with a mediocre first XI and huge amounts of debt, whilst Ole is still aimlessly drunk at the wheel at United.

Best case scenario for us.

-Have they paid back the government £175 m low cost loan from last year?
Top

-My spurs mate has surfaced. He reckons Conte must have been promised a big war chest otherwise he wouldn't have signed. He is also convinced that Conte will get the team performing and that once Kane is getting better service he will start scoring again and will be happy.
Top

-From dismay to joy in around 36 hours - that’s my spurs friends. The transfer funds in January must largely be the income from the Kane sale.
Until Jan I’m not convinced Conti will be able get much improvement out of the current spurs squad, Kane not wanting to be there will still linger and disrupt things*
*At least that’s what I’m hoping

-Spurs should be ashamed at the way they have treated Nuno. He had barely got his feet under the desk! It is the sort of thing you expected from basket case clubs like Perugia in the 90s.

-This thread is up to 16 pages, we need to be careful, they'll accuse us of being obsessed with them soon.

-Conte has such a good track record that he can afford to fail at Spurs and take the massive payoff. He will get another job in time for Christmas!

-Looking forward to seeing Conte getting them playing the Spurs way again. [laughing face]

-He is Mourinho mk2 ,another short term fix ,he never stays in a job for more than 2 years.

-Just bumped into a Spurs pal of mine that had come off all his Spurs WhatsApp groups at the weekend after the Man U game and had said he was done with football but now he fancies them again and wants to get tickets for the 1/4 final against us. And he reckons Conte will get Kane playing again and all clubs are in debt so Spurs are no different.

I love how little West Ham fans rate our squad.

You'd think of all clubs they'd be able to appreciate how far good coaching can take a modest set of players. David Moyes has dragged a squad consisting of bottom half PL mainstays like Antonio, Dawson, Noble and Cresswell, resurrected the career of an Arsenal GK reject, found some cheap gems from the Czech league and some smart signings from the championship like Bowen and Benrahma. Hardly a CL appearance between the lot of them.

Good coaching can absolutely transform a squad. Our squad is littered with high level international players with an abundance CL experience.

Lo Celso and Romero are key players for Copa winning Argentina.

Royal is a Brazil International from Barca.

Ndombele lit up the CL with Lyon.

Hojbjerg made the Euro 2020 team of the tournament.

Reguilon a Spain International and Europa League winner.

Lloris is a world cup winning captain ffs.

Our 'only two players' were two of the best players in Europe last season under Jose.

That's pretty much the basis of our new side right there, someone like Antonio Conte should be able to get a tune out of that lot. If Paratici can keep Conte and Levy sweet I'm sure we have great times ahead.

It’s what Arsenal fans don’t get. Very amusing.
To be fair it was pretty mixed on Arsenal Mania. About half were saying they lacked ambition and should have sacked Arteta for Tuchel and Conte, the other half saying they are happy with him.

Unfortunately I’m surrounded by the twats.

Fucking idiots, one good season and they think they are on a par with us and teams like Arsenal, Everton etc.

Can’t wait for their inevitable relegation in 2/3 years. Bellends
Won't happen moyes is building a decent team. Bit flattered by other teams falling off but they'll stay 4th to 7th.

I’m not sure, classic case of very good first eleven. They’ve had their fair share of luck with injuries and suspensions- there’s only so much lucky heather in the world.

What startles me is the number of people who write “amount” of people.

Watched soccer Special on Sky last night. First off it’s truly unbelievable how low the IQ is of the majority of football pundits. Last night led by the great brain of Paul Merson then you had Glen Johnson and the little runt Lee Hendrie was one other forget who. Goodness me seems impossible for them to praise us in anyway. Were so dismissive and lots of sniggering especially from the runt Hendrie. How I will love if Conte rams it down their throats. It’s really quite incredible how few ex footballers have any even average level of intelligence. I guess a lot concentrate on football from an early age and don’t bother much with their education.

A couple of snippets from A***mania. Enjoy!

* They won't get Potter, certainly not right now anyway.
Think people overrate Sp**s' pulling power, tbh.

* No top manager for these cvnts, please.

* Another season of finishing below Sp**s, but I feel Arsenal fans have already got used to it.

* Fair play to Sp**s fans. Saw their team was going nowhere and made the atmosphere toxic enough 10 games into the season to get the club to act. Meanwhile our lot are more worried about AFTV and accepting that projects take time

* No idea why anyone is that bothered by Conte - he’s obviously a huge improvement on Nuno. But so is my gran and she’s dead.
Spuds just aren’t a Conte project team - don’t have the cash or the mentality.

* The mandem whatsapp group is panicking. The optimistic Arsenal fan is convinced that Conte is leaking this on purpose to put pressure on Utd.

* Sp**s sack a manager for a month or so of underperformance while they are 8th

Arteta had us in relegation form Oct-Dec last year and there was not even a peep that he could be sacked. At the very least it again shows that Sp**s are more ambitious than we are.

* Horrifying. Sp**s showing waaaay more ambition than Arsenal. But the Artetasexuals wont care since they want to shag the narcissistic idiot we have in charge.

* Dont need to, Arteta and Conte are not the type of manager we should be targeting if we want to get back to our best levels.

* This is bizarre. Conte is one of the best managers around while Arteta is a pathetic loser.

* I see you guys down playing him down, but Conte is pretty much one of the best managerial hires you could make at the moment
Not sure how it works with Sp**s, but you have to applaud them for trying and pulling the plug on a clearly dud project.

* Also hilarious that Levy claimed they wanted to get back to the " Sp**s way " of playing attacking football not long after sacking Potch, since then they've hired Mourinho, Nuno and now potentially Conte - 3 of the most defensive mined managers in the game.

*
Chelsea - Tuchel
Liverpool - Klopp
Manchester City - Guardiola
Tottenham - Conte
I
I
I
I
I
v

Arsenal - Arteta
Manchester United - Solskjaer

* think he would be the highest level manager (in their prime) they have had in my time watching football

* What a disaster.

* Funny how I keep seeing all the United fans furious at them not sacking Ole and going for Conte while there's not a mention from Arsenal fans and we still have the biggest clown of them all in charge.

* Arsenal fans are less ambitious than Sp**s fans.

* Absolutely gutting if true. He worked with Paratici at Juve so makes sense. Talking a top 5 coach in the world here. Look at Inter now compared to what they looked like pre Conte. The guy is brilliant at improving what he's got.

* That Inter squad wasn’t all that. Hakimi and Lukaku were the two truly exceptional players. The Sp**s squad is filled with good players and a couple of exceptional ones. All they really need is a very good midfielder and a CB and they have the perfect squad for his system.

* i pray that the Conte to Sp**s rumours are... just rumours

* Meanwhile at the Emirates a false dawn is happening, lovely stuff. Arsenal have no balls!!

* Conte would’ve been perfect for us.

* Another thing with this that pisses me off is how quickly they act. Remember when we sacked Emery we had to have a long drawn out procedure that needed to be ratified by the board and a load of other bollocks. I can guarantee that when we sack Arteta we will probably have a ****ing three week recruitment drive.

* I’m sad

* Conte deserves better than Sp**s. He should have waited for us or United.

* Smells of Liverpool appointing Klopp.

Didn't want to give credit at first and prayed he'll be a flop. But the context and track record are hard to dispute.

Doesn't look good, gays.

* I know this is the "laugh at Tottenham" thread but you can only be jealous of the ambition they are showing.
Conte is easily a top 5 manager in world football right now.

They will surely finish above us again this season.

* This is the ambition I'd crave from us.

* My fear is Conte getting them top 4 this year, then title challenge next and onto win year after. I don't even think that's unreasonable.

* Conte to Sp**s? Huh?! I just saw the news.

We’ve officially got the worst manager in the top 10 now

* Still can’t get my head around Conte going to Sp**s:;

* Poch is a loser. He's presently making Mbappe, Neymar, Messi a chore to watch. Conte is a winner.

* Where are Sp**s getting all this money?

* Levy trying to suck his own cock with this move.

* Sp**s being 8th in November warrants them sacking their manager, back to back 8th placed finishes for us and it's all "tRuSt tHe pRoCeSs"

* Some of us can recognise a great manager when we see one. Unlike the Artetasexuals.

* Klopp, Pep, Tuchel, Conte vs. Ole, Arteta is just unfair.

* So Sp*rs now have a much better stadium and a much much much better manager. Won't be long before they start attracting the much better players too.
Not surprised about us cause we have become a loser club but what sacrifices has Ole made to Satan that he's lasted this long?

* We will see how much money he gets. Conte is no fool. His league record is absolutely exceptional. At the very minimum this has guaranteed Sp**s will finish above us in the table till 2023.

* Going to try dig up my old Sp**s shirt then!

* You have to respect clubs who are decisive. This is a damn fine coup for a club like Sp**s. I wish we showed an ounce of that ambition.

* Official. AM can get the kleenexes out now.

* Apparently, because they got Conte they will finish ahead of Arsenal 6 years in a row I am new here are the fans always this dramatic and hysterical?

* oh damn, good appointment.
At least he has more modern ideas about football than Maureen.

* Ah ah, careful there you'll be sent to Glory Glory with such talk.

* Alrighty, you can officially colour me depressed. ?

* FFS, it really sucks being a Gooner right now.

* Nah, sure he'll fluke an Audi cup tbh

* Potter is still available ?

* Emery at Newcastle, Conte at Sp**s, Ranieri at Watford
ThE LeAgUe Is gEtTiNG hArDeR

* Arteta and Ole being in charge of Arsenal and Manchester United make it less hard.

* Can we please finish above them this season at the very least?
Is their forum auto-censoring Spurs or do they all typed like that? Is tiring isn't it? Those sc*ms

They really are imbeciles, all acting like a bunch of cretinous ***** ......

The part i highlighted unequivocally proves they really are dumber than dumb..... if all they've known is football since an early age and thats all know, they astonishingly still have no clue about the only thing theyve ever known

It’s not completely random though. If you have a couple of pints and squint while reading T*ts it is understandable right?
