I would like Conte to resign right now. We need a coach, not a manager, our squad is way better than our performances suggest, we need a different kind of leader.
It really isnt.

Our squad is absolute garbage.

3 or 4 years ago if anyone said we'd have Dier and Davies as starting CB's and a midfield of PEH and Winks they'd get laughed at.

We need 200m and to start offering wages that brings in the players needed otherwise we will continue like this.

Why do we always sit back always. Control the ball and impose ourselves. Sitting back against a championship side? Someone tell me why?
It's fairly obvious why, as I've said repeatedly we massively struggle against teams who are tough to break down. The wingbacks can't really do anything when under heavy pressure and properly marked, whilst Son/Moura/Bergwijn/even (whisper it) Kane often and Kulu so far aren't brilliant between the lines in very tight spaces where they have to have a sure touch, nimble movements, quick decision making and the quality to move the ball and open teams up. So tonight, even against a lower league team, we tried to engineer the game into situations where we could do do some counter attacks. There is obviously no faith in us controlling the ball and breaking teams down intricately.

Every so often, like the weekend, we get a game where we can counter, get Son et al running riot into space and everyone gets over-excited, but we're struggling big time to create and stress teams who put up any sort of organised obdurate resistance.

Romero was fine until the end of the game. The problems are so so obvious, and it’s not fucking Conte.

Winks, Davies, Doherty, Emerson, Hojbjerg, in the bin. For the love of god.

These players are uncoachable. I wouldn’t blame Conte if he walks - if he had an ounce of dignity he‘d go. If this group of players are unable to perform for managers such as Conte, Mourinho and Poch then no one will be able to get them to play. We’re being made a laughing stock on a regular basis now. We’re a fucking meme. It’s getting to the point for me where I really despise a couple of our players and watching Spurs causes more stress and angst than enjoyment. Tonight wasn’t a freak result; the Leeds game was the freak result.

Worse thing is, it’ll be the same shit spotted by the same players in the interviews “we need to be better. We will put it right” fuck off to the bin!

Yes the players are one of the problem but tell me how we ended up with such a piss poor squad of players?

“I like Winks. I can rely on him”
Conte ain't gonna dig out individuals unless they have attitude issues. I'm sure he's trying and you can see he's putting effort in but he just isn't good enough, and I guess that's not really his fault and it would be unfair for the manager to single it out. But you can tell Conte is desperate to get Skipp back because he knows this. He's just trying to keep Winks' confidence high whilst he has to use him.

It shouldn't be impossible at all with the amount of players going on free transfers or have one year left. Wouldn't even have to spend £100m to improve the squad.

Agreed, but just look at recruitment history, likely no CL, it would take some convincing for them join.

Yes, because they were crap :ROFLMAO:

You're telling me Dele/Ndombele/Lo Celso would have made an impact tonight?

They all played when we lost against Mura (which was even more humiliating)
Ndombele or Lo Celso in extra time - definitely compared to what we had on the park in midfield. They may have controlled the ball and passed it for a start.

but then again, I’m in a minority that rated Ndombele ?

Disagree on it being a Mackey mouse competition.... but agree we can focus on trying for top 4. We weren't winning this competition in any case...we have been way too inconsistent.
Not in a million years are we getting top 4 ????

God I miss having dominant central midfielders. I’d give a testicle for a Modric, a Dembele, a Wanyama. Hell, even a Sandro or Palacios.

There are videos of winks 5th round performance against Everton last season on YouTube - described as one of the worst performances ever. He starts the following year again in the 5th round. You keep doing the same thing and getting same results - insanity!!!!

Because too many of these players are a liability, and when they are all in the starting 11 sitting deep is the only way we don't concede 3 goals a game.
Surely we can keep possession against boro, Wolves, Southampton?

I don't much care for 352 either

We need an attacking midfielder to carry the ball. Since Poch left, I don't think any of the managers have played an attacking midfielder plus 3 attackers. The ball goes straight to a front 3 player and they have to cut back and wait for options.

3 man midfield including an attacking midfielder to feed a 3 man attack. Let's run the bloody midfield.
