Likewise ive posted a lot on Zaniolo, but for Paqueta ive only seen the youtube highlight reels, a few matches for Brazil and the two games this year against Lyon.I’ve posted a lot on my knowledge of Zaniolo but I don’t watch much of the French League, I’ve seen snippets and he looks like a good player but from someone who knows Paqueta more in depth, how does his style and position compare to Zaniolo and Maddison?
For the people who like the stats analysis of players though, his FBRef makes for very impressive viewing.

He certainly has the benefit of versatility as he would be able to play as the RW in our 3-4-3 formation, as a CM in a potential 3-5-2, as an AM in a 3-4-1-2 and has even played at CF at times.
As a winger, based off statistics, he stylistically compares to a Hakim Ziyech or Marco Reus.
As a midfielder he compares to a Bellingham, De Bruyne and even interestingly Barella.
And as a forward he compares to an Nkunku, Dybala or Griezmann.
The gist of it from the stats is that he's an elite dribbler, a very strong passer and absolutely top tier defensively as one of the best pressing forwards in the top 5 leagues (Which im sure Conte will love). Its not often that you find such an effective flair player like Paqueta that also loves putting in the dirty work. So I wouldnt have much fear of him failing like Ndombele has.
