To drop Sess after his performance against Saints could very well harm his long-term confidence and he strikes me as a lad who has lacked a little in that department anyway. I see him starting.
Think it will be a tough game - a win for us will provide a massive boost for the players to kick on from. COYS!

Wouldn’t mind us going with a 3 man midfield in this sort of game, dominating them with bissouma at 6. Ideally you’d have quick ball carrying wing backs like perisic and spence to help us break. Maybe Kulu at rwb?

Would most likely mean leaving Kulusevski out, and that ain't happening.

I think we have a very good chance of upsetting the rentboys this weekend , rudgier was their rock in defense and I know it’s early days but I ve seen oil tankers turn quicker than koulibaly

Who from their team gets into ours at this precise moment (so not talking about reputations and such)? I'm stuck at Reece James and maybe Jorginho.

RJ for sure. Probably take Koulibaly over Davies individually (but accept he’s not Prem-proven…); Chilwell over Sessegnon and probably Kante over PEH.

Arguments could be made elsewhere (Thiago Silva is an exceptional CB but he’s 100 years old; and I’m a Lloris fanboy but Mendy is a great keeper…)

Conte started him in most of the big games last season.

if the rumours are true they could parachute in PEA and FDJ from Barca before the weekend. No doubt they would start PEA.

We didn't "roll over" last season. That's a cliché devoid of content. Chelsea had a better team, a deeper squad and a much better manager to start with. We couldn't get our game going - four times - because they stopped us from playing, using footballing organisation and quality. They were superior.

That's no longer so. It looks like a very evenly matched game. The better team will probably win. Home advantage will be a factor, but I doubt it will dictate the result.
Even with all that being true, we did roll over and didn’t capitalize on opportunities. We never believed we could win the match. Mindset against these pricks has to change.

Exactly. They were superior last year. This time, it's an evenly mismatched game as their weaknesses and strengths don't match up to ours on the pitch. And ultimately, Conte will have this team far better organized this time around so a win wouldn't be the least bit surprising.

Saw them play in the States last month. Their defense was poorly organized and struggled with speed and this was from MLS players. Since then, they have added better defenders but they will likely struggle to play together effectively for 90 minutes (for now). Offensively, much of their offense in this game ran thru Pulisic who looked better than expected. I expect a tight game as long as there are no red cards.

We'll smash these oilers. They looked total shite against Everton.

I know history has shown we've been crap at the bridge for an age, but for the most part we've had a worse team, manager, and maybe most importantly, a weak mentality.

On Sunday we'll have the better team, better manager, and better tactics. With Conte at the helm the mentality will be on point.

Really not worried about this fixture. We'll win comfortably. I'm relaxed.

I agree fully here. Looking forward to the battle between him and James.

Yeah I wouldn't either.

Just wouldn't surprise me if we saw Perisic from the start.
