What's the point of a creative midfielder if no one around offers movement?
Eriksen excelled here because he was surround by movement but they were enough games where he looked ordinary because everyone was ball watching.
Creativity isn't the responsibility of one player.
The patterns of play from last season have vanished and nothing has replaced it.

Had 15/20 in us and then heads dropped. Really poor energy across the whole team, everything seems laboured whether it's our pressing, passing or when a player receives the ball. Just way off it in terms of aggression all round.
One noticeable thing when we were playing better at the start of the half was Kane looking for the ball. Dropping in to give options. Will need more of that as this midfield will not create for him.
Flat as we've been if Conte can get the intensity back up we could get something here. We have to start well though, if Palace remain on top early I don't see us getting back in the game.

With the players at our disposal, it wasnt an abomination at least. Need to move to 3-5-2 and get Son running onto the ball in the channels imo or at least take of Gil and Skipp and push Perisic forward

Conte doesn’t have it in him to try anything different which is a shame because these players aren’t all of a sudden going to become good.

Can’t seem to put a few passes together. There’s no vision or movement. This is just basic stuff that any footballer should naturally just do.
Someone needs to show some balls and try to grab the game by the scruff of the neck, but I don’t think we have anyone on the pitch capable of that right now.
Also. Harry Kane. Is he a help or a hindrance these days?? ?
I’ll add, Harry isn’t high on the problem list, but even so. He barely gets a sniff nowadays. Isn’t dynamic enough.
