Lloris had better be 100% and and at the top of his game otherwise he could be a liability. Same with Perisic and quite a few others!

The first 20 mins will be telling and will speak volumes about the attitude of our players. The headlines and stories tomorrow can either be about how free and energetic they looked under Stellini/Mason, thereby underlining why Conte had to go. Or they phone it in. Which justifies Conte's and media narrative that our players lack a winning mentality, and that that is the true DNA of Tottenham.

Time for leaders to step up tonight.

What exactly were people expecting?

That is the best line-up we could hope for - given the circumstances.

Maybe you have a good argument for Forster over Lloris - but club captain, when healthy, is going to start.

It's also highly unlikely we'd even give any minutes to a youth player, also could interfere with possible youth games coming up (Not 100% but possible a U21 player can't be in a senior squad and youth squad in a certain period?) Regardless we're allowed 9 subs which should be plenty without needing U21s on the bench unless completely necessary.

Bench looking very thin though, unsurprising when we have Davies, Sess, Emerson, Bentancur, Biss, Richarlison out.

So much respect for Hugo but this just doesn’t seem right to me. He looked really shaky prior to his injury. Sends the wrong message out to the squad for me, oaky we’ll get dropped

I simply don’t believe that’s our best starting 11, or formation. Missed opportunity. But love the bench, can hardly avoid giving a new face a chance.

After a (mostly) shite season/few weeks etc the chance to go third (albeit having played more games) than manure/geordies, must be a huge incentive, it’s in the bag isn’t it?

I hope Lloris and Forster suffer minor injuries and have to come off, just to show the "experts" on here know nothing about football!

He's captain to be fair, not many teams don't put their captain back in after injury

My guess - its two things - club captain, and these are probably Hugo's last 10 games with the club.

I agree Forster deserves the start based on form. But, players rarely lose their spot in the XI due to injury. If Lloris is healthy, he was always likely to start.

You'd want our players to get injured just to reaffirm your bias. Some fan.
