See the difference one excellent player makes to a whole position? Yes we have Kane, Dele, Eriksson, what we are missing is Wanyama and especially Toby.. absolute key players.. Dier isn't a patch on Toby, Dembele isn't the player he was, we need a strong CM signing, a winner, and we need Toby back. So disappointing, a lot of our players just haven't got going this season apart from Europe. The warnings with early signings were there when we played City in America, how many of our new signings played today? It's so frustrating.

How good would Messi be in England on a cold Tuesday night at Stoke? Look at this city team for your answer.

Sissoko and Dier. Play Davies at CB where he played for Wales.

Winks shown that there's alot of hype around him but not much else. Dembele is done

Dembele's not the same player any more, but Sissoko would have lost possession so much it would have been unreal.

How many games has Davies played at centre back in the last year? Sticking him there against Man City could have been disastrous.

I still think we could've made subs earlier, especially when we were just one goal behind... idk wtf Poch was waiting for exactly?? Put Lamela on for christ sake

How bad is your transfer “strategy” when you wait until the final day of the transfer window to buy a RB and then decide that RB isn’t good enough to replace Trippier when he is getting raped on the pitch ?
And all fucking summer looking for a tricky attacking player, and end up with Llorente. Absolute load of bollocks, our transfer approach.

If Danny and his mates really think they are worth more than the millions a year they already get paid then they really need to start showing it

No shame in losing against maybe the best footballing side in Europe but some players just have not shown up all season.Dier,Dele have been so poor this season.Need Victor but asap start playing Lamela now from the start.

We werent great but also its qorth remembering their front 4 is insane. If you jad to pick a prrmier league 11 would anyone be in the front 4 other than aguero, de bruyne, sane and sterling?? Bare in mond they also were missing david silva and bernardo silve who was on the bench is pretty tasty too.

They have a good attack when you use tactics and have horrible player performances that help the opposition then there is only one result

No matter how poor today has been I'd still rather be us then them

You can buy success but you can't buy a soul or identity, they mean nothing as a club

I’d sell my soul to the devil (if I had one) for spurs to win the league before I die and and being taken over but a multi billionaire with unlimited fund is the only way I can see it happening

We had no right hand side or left. That’s what we’re missing this year. Walker used to dominate that whole half of the pitch whilst Trippier hasn’t taken a man on or made a tackle in his career. The people that were laughing when we sold Walker for £50m are fucking idiots, pure and simple.

If they had Silva, kompany and stones back we'd get just as badly pumped up the arse

Of course. They are a better team than us with an amazing manager. But I think we would have competed a bit more rather than just chased shadows like today

We needed to either play game plan we used against Madrid or we needed to press and not allow them time on the ball. We did neither and it made it so easy for them.

What pissed me off more than anything today though was watching Rose and dele lose the ball high up the pitch and make zero effort to get back, none what so ever, and it happened with both of them numerous times. I would honestly take good offers for both of them tbh. Rose is already in his head gone, and Dele is just believing his own hype far too much. I can forgive mistakes but a lack of effort to get back and defend is just simply not acceptable.

If we had Wanyama, Toby and Davinson back then we would have competed alot more

Trying to compete with potentially the best team in prem history away from home with a make shift back 4 and no defensive midfielder was always going to end in tears.

I said as much in the formation thread and earlier today in this thread. Fair play to Poch for being positive in his tactics but when you face a side as good as city they will punish any mistakes at all that you make. And that's what happened.

Whilst I agree with our injuries and the issues it causes they had mangala playing , Delph at left back and no David Silva . We should have done better

We don't buy players by the standards of their skills on the pitch. We buy players depending on their price tag. FML.

Danny Rose I’m done with him. He’s in the past, Sessegnon is the future
I’ve been saying this for over a year. Trippier is not good enough to play for us, rather give KWP minutes, he’s been impressive every time I see him
Dembele is slowly getting finished. Sad to see
Dier as a CB in a 4 at the back has always been bad
Alli has been bad all season but still starts every game. Lamela has been very good every game he’s played. Let him start from now on
Winks has been poor lately but he’s still young and it isn’t all his fault. Give him time

Poch has to take the blame. Trippier should’ve never started, he’s made the substitutions way too late and never took off Trippier. I don’t want to hear that City has spend crazy money, in the end of the day it’s 11 V 11. We’ve got one of the best strikers in the world, one of the best CAM in the world. We need to take responsibility. Yes it’s not a shame to lose away against City but not in this way. This was embarrassing.

We really need a CM, DM, a Eriksen type player and a winger with pace and that’s good at dribbling.

On to the next one COYS

People on here need to calm down

City are a damn good side and so they should be with all the oil money they've spent
But we are supposedly a good side, top 5. We should at least matched them in some departments, not losing out all and gotten thrashed.

Or at least a manager of a top 5 should have some balls or sense of reading in a game to limit the damage earlier in the game, not making pointless subs from 76th minutes till 88th minute.

The point is taken they are a good side which they should be. Are we not? But today's games showed really we are not, when we should be. We didn't behave like one. That's really shame IMHO. It really is.
