Mod going missing for their goal let them back into a match they shouldn't have been in. It doesn't matter how you set up sometimes, teams always have a 'spell' no matter how shit they are. I thought our defending through the high balls, crosses and long throws that constituted their spell was mainly excellent, Sandro twice dealing with Davies under intense pressure (who eventually elbowed him in the head - so unlike him) and Kaboul and Gallas got in vital headers....i only remember Eagles shot over the bar in that period....Spurs teams of old would've let one in normally in that spell...

Mod's pass was class although Lennon's run made it possible - a good example of intelligent movement and great vision combined. Ade was a bit pony with his touch but took his 2nd goal well...a well deserved win all round and we can still get better...

By old do you mean last month ?

Also what a fucking amazing and humbling moment it was when Fabrice Muamba came onto the pitch before the game. I left WHL that day dreading the worst, amazing how he has recovered.

He plays a part in the fourth as well....he's the one who gives it to Bale.

Rose didn't look too great to me. Anyone else agree? Interested to hear your thoughts.

Oh look, a return to 'too open' 4411 with one DM and two wingers and we win two games in a row, scoring six goals, conceding just 1 and winning away for the first time in 2012. This is one of those times where I really don't hate to say I told you so.

Friedel couldn't do anything about the goal, was fine wgenever needed.

Walker must be the fittest player going, he just doesn't stop. Barring one foul he played well and put Lwnnon through with a lovely through ball early on.

Gallas was assured enough and was solid enough.

Kaboul is a monster and his presence in our first team is vital.

Rose wasn't good going forward and was beaten once, but geberally he was ok.

Lennon was superb throughout and looked our biggest threat.

Sandro has rediscovered his awesomeness and is first choice DM on current form even when Parker is back.

Modric was sublime. Great goal, put through Lennon in style to set up Ade, and kept us going all day.

Bale was his best in ages, he made 2 goals and in the second half he was unstoppable after a more tepid first half.

Vdv scored a lovely goal, worked his socks off and as ever, didn't waste a pass.

Ade scored two, worked constantly and held the ball up all night. Better first touch needed but he played well.

Nelson, Saha and Livermore all kept shape without influencing things one way or t'other.

Yes, of course, Modric's sublime pass without Lennon's run in behind isn't on (?) and he wasn't so influential on the third, but please give it a break guys. Modric was clearly MOM whatever way you try to undermine his performance. It's as if you can't stand the fact that he played well. And ok, very rarely can there be a perfect performance, so yes he was asleep for the throw in.

Friedel 7
Rose 6
Kaboul 7
Gallas 7
Walker 6.5
Sandro 7.5
Modric 8.5
Bale 7
Lennon 7.5
VDV 8
Adebayor 7.5

Just got back, what a feckin night!

Thought Luca/Lennon were my MOTM but some other good performances too with a beautifully taken goal from Rafa

How can the managers future make such a ridiculous difference? Where the hell has that pace and desire to get in the opposition box been for the last 3 months!!

A lot of you may have seen me ripping into Modric recently and I stand by the fact he has been very poor but yesterday he was very good and it was very nice to see him score a lovely goal and his assist to Lennon was fantastic. If he plays like that everyday then I will eat my own words and will be proven wrong. But its just to me, still only one good performance in months. Anyways, voted for him. Well done, Luka.

I went for Modric, last couple of games it looks like he actually wants to play for us again.

Can't believe some of the comments on here, some are overcomplicating things far too much .

I sat back and bar the first 10 or so mins of the 2nd half, saw a spurs team playing dangerous, quick flowing attacking football away to a team fighting for their lives.I think we are too critical sometimes, that was a fantastic performance capped with FOUR goals away from home....that was a top away performance by the lads.(y) :)

MOM..Luka.
