Yeah because playing at home on the first week of the season means EVERYTHING.

I honestly cannot believe that you have tried to justify your nonsense as well.

well it certainly helps, especially as our away form is rubbish. It's important to get off to a winning start this season

KY, you're right, a newly promoted team should be easy pickings but games often don't go the way you'd expect. We have to remember that a newly promoted team can play out of their skins in their first premiership game. Often the "big" club is complacent.

I have some hope that Ramos will prepare them well but then again either he didn't bother to bollock them after the CC win or they stopped listening to him.

my source at the fa, where the fixtures were drawn yesterday, tells me your wish has been granted!

Boro away according to Planet Spurs.

They're probably both wrong!

Is the method for deciding fixtures known? Surely it should be a random draw, although the existence of "Super Sunday" smacks of arrangement rather than randomness. I couldn't find anything on the FA site or the Premier League site so there certainly seems to be a lack of transparency.

I seem to remember some guff being fudged up a couple of seasons ago about a "fixture computer" as if that would assuage doubts as to fairness.

Anybody got a better idea as to what the mechanics of the fixture setting process involve?

You're probably right. There's always a 'nailed on' opening day fixture list beforehand, which turns out to be shite, as was the case last season.

Also heard somewhere that Arsenal at home is Feb 27th or something like that. I'm sure it's all bollox.
