Controlled a lot of the midfield but let down by a sloppy defensive mistake and a lack of creativity in the final third to create chances.

Not the first time I've said that this season and it certainly won't be the last...
I think you can add woeful passing into the mix as well. How many easy passes did we just cough back up to them last night??

Sorry, but the thing about 'same players' same results, is hooey.

Since Poch left, we have bought in a lot of new players. Of his era, only Harry, Sonny, Lloris, Davinson, Davies and Dier remain.

Royal
Porro
Persic
Sess
Bentancur
PEH
Sarr
Skippy
Romero
Lenglet
Sarr
Kulu
Richarlison
Reggie
Udogie
Danjuma
Forster

All basically new shiny toys. And if you want to be really fair, you can't really count N'Dombele and Lo Celso and as Poch players, as he barely had any time with them.

There are just too many problematic things happening at the same time. Levy's gross incompetence when it comes to long-term strategy on transfers and coaching. A current coach who is one foot out the door and insists on playing a system that is mind-numbingly boring. The erratic play of our defense. The complete loss of form of Sonny. Three catastrophic injuries to key players inside of one week.

Perfect storm of fuckery at its finest. In short: It's Spurs.

I really just couldn't find any joy today in watching us. It was boring. Predictable. Listless. It's like the team and coaching staff are just phoning it in right now.

Only upside tonight was seeing Sarr and Skippy boss the midfield. They deserve a lot of credit for that.
But we’ve had 4 managers who couldn’t get this team to perform. Poch lost it, Jose lost it, Nuno never had it, and Conte lost it. Conte’s won the league at all his other clubs pretty much. Imo you have to give the benefit of the doubt to managers that have proven themselves time and again over players who have never proven themselves, and in fact have shown repeatedly that they’re weak-minded and/or lacking what it takes to compete at the very highest level.

I agree Conte doesn't seem a good fit for us nor us for him. Which manager would be a great fit for us? Some one who will get the best out of the quality we do have, we can surely do better than we are. We need a different type of manager to the big spenders, so what manager would be the best fit?

Honestly Poch was the best fit for us. Other than him maybe Tuchel, idk...

Apart from Royal to Kane we still lack that ball to the front 3.
As well all knew, Son and Kulusevski weren't in the game at all.
Kulu was, but he just kept losing it and miss placing his passes. You can blame the system but if you watch arsenal and city last night how many intricate passes do they play under pressure?
To say oh the players are under pressure they have a player on them… it’s the bloody champions league of course teams are going to stick tight to you.
the simple fact is the forwards are out of form. Kulu can’t even beat his man one on one any more.

Quite ridiculous that we’ve persisted with the corpse of a player in Perisic when we could have played with these 2 at right and left wingback since Porro arrived
