Anyone else see Match of the Day on Saturday night - Adebayor's interview after the match.

Please tell me I imagined that he almost said he still loves Arsenal. He was trying to explain he had good times there and finished by saying 'I still love lov.......' and seemed to stop himself quickly when he realised what he was saying.

He did say exactly that, I wouldn't worry about it, he is just trying to make it up a bit after celebrating a Man City goal in front of their fans.

People really get too caught up with these sort of things. Seriously so what? As long as he does a job for us then that's all that matters.

Football is just a job to most players, they don't get emotionally involved like us fans do. Players go wherever they will get paid, we need to just accept that.

In more important news he played well and scored on his debut which helped us win the game.... seriously who gives a fuck about what he has to say in regards to Arsenal?

I'm sure Pat Jennings never fell out of love with our club when he went over to Ar*nal all those years ago. One or two individuals perhaps, but not the club.

I'd imagine he's still got friends there, not uncommon really, forget which scum player it was, but they were saying they'd love to play alongside Kaboul one day as they're such great mates and he has a Spurs shirt from Kaboul that he wears around the house. Of course the press interpreted it as he was angling for a move to us, but the reality was of course very different. The point being, you can't really read too much into these things.

Both of our goalscorers on Saturday were Woolwich-related; one played for them & one supports them, no big deal, though i do worry about JD's form when the Woolwich slump to mid table for Christmas

Nah, kidding, it's no big deal at all. Maybe a few years ago, when players still came from local areas, or were with the club for 10+ years at a time, it might've been a bit more of a bummer, but now i doubt you'll find many players playing for the team they actually support.

Why is this an issue? Can he not love a former team that he played for?

Reality is that if he was getting regular starts for citeh or Madrid then he wouldn't be playing for us anyways.

First off, he didn't stop himself, he just came out and said it.

Second, so what? What's wrong with him still loving Arsenal?

Third, are you twelve? Are kids at school ribbing you about it today?

He was just being respectful, which is more than some of our fans are being to someone who played a massive part in getting our season going

Who cares, I don't care if he has an arsenal badge tattooed on his cock providing he is banging them in for us
