I hope he gets help if it's a genuine mental illness. But don't particularly want him to play for us again.

I wouldn't rule that out but as Kendall said earlier, surely Ade would come out and do some interview slagging us off? Unless he's been made to sign some kind of gagging clause
He's getting paid, gets to go home and will likely go to the US or Middle east and coin it in. He can re-appear and say his head is clear etc.

He doesn't dig the new regime anyway, he's got a chance to go and put his feet up and put his family in order.

If the highest paid employee at work, buggered off back to their home country, during the busiest part of the year, because they believed they were cursed, you'd be pissed.

If this really is all to do with this 'curse', then paint me pissed.

Without looking back over the thread, I'm sure the Ade haters have been out in force already, and I expect the rumours of him leading factions of players has been treated as gospel and resurrected for effect....

...but, what if he's got serious family problems and it's impacting his form? We're all human beings and as much as Soldado needed to be given the benefit of the doubt over his wife's miscarriage I think the same needs to apply here with Ade. I wish him the best.

I put the real reason up on here Saturday but was had a go at for not providing my source. Which I wont. Only that it is an ex player who I have been close to business wise for a decade. He is very well connected at the club still.

Bottom line is that poch believes Adebayor has a mental issue. He will not play him again following the bust up between him and younger players. Levy has been told to get rid. If they cant attract a mug buyer like Harry or arab/russuan Levy will subsidise his wages to get him out of club.
Not a chance in hell that will happen.

The recent itk vis kane/ade etc would just be too coincidental imo.

I think Pochettino has thought that maybe the reason he thinks he is 'cursed' is due to his mental illness.

Good riddance, hope we never see him back at Spurs, although if he is mentally ill I wish him a full recovery, but never want to see him in a Spurs shirt again
How did the bail hearing go?
Are you being charged with speeding up the building of the new stadium?

Sounds more like family issues. Mentally I think he is very strong. He has to be to play for us with all the sh*t he gets thrown at him by our loyal supporters at WHL not mentioning the stuff on social media.

Does leave us short up front until he is back or the New year. I really don't want to see Soldado or Kane starting tomorrow for example.

Who does Poch think he is?

Fucking Freund?

I think its more likely that Ade has some personal issues going on and the club are supporting him with it which is the right thing to do.

You mean Sigmund Freud right? Not Steffen Freund. You've been done by predictive text!

So has he decided that if he came out worst from the alleged team bust up, that he may as well put his feet up in Togo rather than sit on the bench over Christmas?

Or, is this curse thing more than just a belief in a cultural superstition, and has shown Ade is mentally ill?

I guess we won't find out the truth for a while.

Do you mean the late Dr Sigmund Freund of Vienna? Or Steffen Freud of Brandenbug and Tottenham?

Given the ju-ju stuff, it looks as if there could be a definite overlap between 'personal' and 'mental'. While he's not as obviously doolally as Balotelli, Ade's up-and-down behaviour over the years does suggest he's got a screw slightly loose.

Maybe, but consider Ade's character. If the club have basically told him to get lost as he won't be picked, then we put out a statement saying it's down to Ade's personal reasons, do you think he's the kind of guy that would stay silent? He would give an interview tomorrow saying there is no issue and Spurs simply don't want to pick him, which would immediately conflict with our party line.

The club has tended not to comment on matters when players have been ostracised from the squad in the past, so I don't think this would be any different.

Interested to see what happens with Kaboul though, he's not listed on Physio Room.

Given Ade's character it's just as likely he would say something regardless, maybe it suits him that we have said he has personal reasons. I guess will know soon enough

Adebayor forever having problems.

If he has a mental illness, we should use his wages and remainder of contract and pay for his treatment not pay him while he fucks about.

Mental illness is "fucking about" is it?
