Martial would be great but Malcom imo would be better sweet left foot quick will balance the squad.

Son isn't bad

Anytime I’ve seen Malcom play, which admittedly isn't that much, he hasn’t impressed me at all. From the little I’ve seen of him, I’d much rather take Martial.

100% agree. The first hing I thought when this rumour/itk started was how much would he cost and the minimum I was thinking was £60m and I doubt we can get to that. And that is an optimistic low amount.

His contract expires next summer. Unless they have an option to extend it they might have to take a lower amount.

Would much prefer Martial as he has the capability to give Kane a rest, as well as play alongside him.

Whilst we have been decent without Kane at times. I wouldn't be confident without him for a prolonged period of time.

How would be the time to let Lamela leave, and I'm sure we would have offered to Roma. He just doesn't contribute enough as an attacking threat. He can pissboil with the best of them but his lack of goals is a real issue.

Would love this and I would try to get him in at CF at times as well. Harry has shown that he loves a challenge (so far it has been breaking records because he has so competition on the bench). Would get the best out of Harry as well, a signing like this.

Our absence of trophies. We aren’t local/arch rivals like City or Pool. We aren’t on the same financial level as any of them.

I dunno about that, we're still challenging them, I fail to see how our financial level has anything to do with it. Not trying to shit on the ITK but the last time Manchester United sold us a player was in 1936.

Yeah, much as this would be a fantastic signing, I won't get my hopes up.

It’s a definite don’t get your hopes up situation but if there’s a chance then it’s this summer with them looking at buying a CB & LB which we have two wanting to go.

I’ll wait and see what happens

Just as we prefer Toby to go abroad so will probably United with Martial. This is all specualtion of course but Bayern Münich has an ageing squad, especially up front and on the wings. BM loves to snatch players that are out of favor for a relative low price / loan with option to buy (Douglas Costa, J. Rodgriguez). I could easily see Martial ending up there.

And we have the number 9 free*.

* piss off Janssen you’re not wanted

You beat me to that!

(although I wasn't gonna say piss off to Janssen ha ha).

Number 9 shirt most probably his for the taking - although he'll have to fight Rodgriuez for it... :sneaky::troll:

Would love him but think we will end up with zaha

We still have strong links and Zaha would be a completely different signing as plays right side on wing.

But I'd be surprised (even if links are strong) as we signed Moura in Jan and he plays same position.

Zaha plays left wing mostly although been playing up top recently.

Townsend plays right wing for palace

If there's any chance at all, I hope we pay what it takes and snap him up, he's a quality player with years and years ahead of him.

Although if we get gazumped for top 4 we can forget it.

That's interesting as always thought of Zaha as more of a traditional right winger (although had also noticed he was playing up top quite a bit).

Townsend on the right though... :hungover: (shame as I still think he could have been good for us on the left, which I feel is his proper side to utilise crossing ability).
