Defoe plays 'up top'. He's very small and doesn't play as a target man.
Keane played 'up top' against Fulham last season away in the cup, Mido flicked the ball on twice, Keane (from his position on the shoulder of the last man) smacked in two perfect over-the-shoulder volleys.
Keane is great at home, great at penalties and great at flapping his arms, shouting, whilst chasing referees.
How many penalties has he scored this season?
Two?
That leaves 10 goals from open play.
Whatever, he's been our most effective striker by far for the past three years. Defoe hasn't cut the mustard and so far Bent hasn't either. This is merely a sad attempt by nic to cloak his irrational dislike of Keane in a semblance of logical analysis. It fails abysmally.
Blahdeblahdeblah. You don't like Keane, you seek to rationalise this dislike with snide claptrap.
BORING.
Two?
That leaves 10 goals from open play.
If I owned a house I would have put it on you starting this thread nic I was gonna start it myself last night when I got in but the site was down. Just for a laugh, because you are having one.
How many in the league excluding penalties?
I am not his biggest fan, but he has been very good thus far this season. I wonder though if Ramos will accommodate him, as he seems to like fast pacey strikers.
Time will tell.
So it’s league games, excluding penalties, wearing his lucky pants and combing his hair to the left. A goal is a goal is a goal.
Obviously "a goal is a goal" but if you are scoring most of your goals against 3rd rate UEFA Cup teams or against Division 2 League cup teams, then do you see what I am getting at?
It’s been a long time since Anfield was a fourth tier ground. Do you see what I’m getting at?
