Easy for people to blame Spurs fans for this. The police will be looking just as closely at Archway as could be an insurance job. Plenty to be gained for them! Plenty of motive!
Im not so sure....since 5am this morning Archway Steel are no longer supplying their customers needs for kebab grills. Those customers are going to get their grills from somewhere. Their thriving business has been the foundation to fight THFC...and ATM that thriving business is a burnt out empty shell that will need to be ripped down, flattened and rebuilt from scratch. That will take months.....their customers won't wait months, they're risking being left with no business at all.
It is squeaky bum time for the Josifs...and id wager that right now, they're wishing they took Levys last offer.

Do we have any evidence that their business was thriving ?

I'm kinda hoping it was just a random pyromaniac wandering around N17 and thinking "I fancy that", without knowing anything about the implications of a fire there.

Yeh, just didn't fancy the much bigger target next door.

Just putting my sherlock hat on.

The picture looks like the blaze is in the upstairs of the bulding. If this was an arson attack surely you wouldnt break in. go up two flights of stairs and then set light to the place?

This my dear watson is why I believe it is an inside job. (allegedly)

Now fetch me my dear stalker and pipe. No matches left you say? How curious?

It was on both floors, but seems to have started on the upper. The police weren't allowing anyone down there, but you could see that although the roof and walls don't look too badly damaged at first sight the interior is completely gutted (rather like the Josifs). Any heavy machinery will have gone crashing down to the ground floor. The fire brigade investigation crew were using a platform on a crane to look in.

There is a very high spiked perimeter fence which presents a pretty serious obstacle. The ground floor windows have heavy duty grilles. It would have been possible to chuck a Molotov Cocktail or something through a first-floor window from the street, but maybe not as easy as you'd think, and that's assuming the windows weren't made of toughened glass.

Loads of junk lying around the yard, and there are bound to have been plenty of gas cylinders inside. If they use sheet aluminium as well as stainless steel, that will burn very well if it gets sufficiently hot.

I have it on very good authority (cousin in the fire service) that it may take only a couple of days to establish the cause, maybe even less if there are obvious traces of accelerant.

I would but for the fact I am considered the prime suspect atm

3 months ago I tweeted 'money grabbing thieves, hope someone burns your building down' to Peter, Minutes after the CPO appeal was announced, that hot headed tweet was retweeted by Peter and used by him again a month ago, today Harry fucking Hotspur has it all over his blog, if it is arson guess who is going to get the blame first

CCTV is fooking everywhere now. It's 1984 alright. Internet monitored, phone calls monitored. And we just roll over and let it happen :(

Jesus, Orwell must be rollin in his grave.

We of course have internet and phone monitors too, but it's all for the sake of Homeland Security and ensuring patriotism. The name of the law changes everything you see, and totally justifies it.
