Never going to happen. Atletico have started the season like a train, and he's been one of the best players.

Never seen him play but Balague was describing Atletico as one big happy team earlier this evening - won their first 2 games and scored 8 goals..... perhaps he's happy where he is (like Lamela!!)

How accurate is that amount though? I've read mixed reports, and that Daily Star link I posted earlier (perhaps in a different thread though) has yet another amount listed for his release clause (that one was ridiculous btw, something like £29 mil I think).
If that's close to the actual amount, it'd be difficult to justify that kind of spending, imo.
What do you guys think would be the limit (pertaining to his RC)? As in, where would we draw the line before moving on to another player?

We were willing to drop £30m on Willian. I think for whoever we identify as being our target instead of him, we would be willing to spend up to that much (depending on how much of a difference in quality there was). But I have no idea if Turan is that target, or just one of many names on that list.

Here are the quotes from his agent confirming he might move to the PL and that he has a €24m release clause:

Your representative: "The transfer of Arda to the Premier is probable"

Ahmet Bulut, Arda agent, said on NTV Spor that the continuity of his client in the Atleti this season is in question: "The transfer of Arda to the Premier this summer is likely. In England is where most interest is in he and they know well the position of Athletic. there know that in the Madrid club are rejecting all offers for him, but that if they pay the clause nothing can do ... There have been contacts. " During the past winter break, the representative had said that Liverpool and Arsenal were the teams most interested in his player.

Bulut also explained that "a team of the French league," referring to Monaco, made an offer of 18 million for him in July, but that "both Atletico as Arda itself simultaneously rejected". The player's agent said that although there had been several offers for Turkish midfielder, none has come close to the clause: "No team has come closer still at 24 million euros marked on his contract, but has been a summer of much activity. "

To reassure fans of Atletico, the senior partner of Jorge Mendes in Turkey also indicated the importance of Arda in the Athletic and the player is now considering doing a good campaign in this athletic. It has also completely ruled the Ottoman international can return to Turkey in the near future, despite the dozens of news at home linking him with a return to Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

To Simeone, Arda is absolutely critical, a player who last season and praised for being the "best offensive game reads between the lines". In other words, one of the drawbacks that puts the Atleti coach is their lack of creativity and Turkish is precisely the stand out in this aspect. If Atletico finally to go away would be a terrible blow to the coach, who already is crying reinforcements for his team.

Meanwhile, the club can not imagine another reality than seeing wearing the elastic Arda red and white in this Champions. The player has two years remaining contract, but has not provided you with a renewal or an upgrade. Terim: "We talked and he said that his desire is to return to Istanbul"

Fatih Terim made some surprising statements about Arda in an appearance before the Turkish media: "I talked to him for two hours after Turkey-Ghana friendly and told me that his desire is to return to Galatasaray and is doing everything it can to return. Indeed, I would encourage our President to talk with Atletico, although I understand what it means either there and want to cause trouble. " Galatasaray coach ensures that it is not a surprise to him and that Arda misses his city and his exequipo "for about five or six months." In Turkey can still see his return in the next two weeks.
