We should be treating both as serious as the other.
I'm with you now, Poch and this team have to win silverware before he leaves in the summer and we have the mass exodus. Book it.All cups are priority for me unless it's a derby on the weekend. I know not everyone agrees.

Yes, but to be a top top team with a top top manager you have to win things, riggi, without that you are nothing. Just think what the players could do on twitter if we win the haribo cup!I'm not certain a league cup will do that but the cup is for the fans and the club. Players are interested in money and playing in the top tier of football.

It would represent progress and that's what the players who are being eyed by other clubs want to see. We've cemented ourselves in the top 5-6 clubs, usually in the top 3. Then we win a cup and the players think "yes, if I stay here another couple of years, we could win something bigger".I'm not certain a league cup will do that but the cup is for the fans and the club. The first priority has to be continuing as Champions League regulars, because that's where the money is that we need to sustain the stadium and, more importantly, that's where the international profile is that we need to increase the global audience for the club. But to retain the key players in the squad, a modest-sized trophy would make a hell of a lot of difference.
