Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker is a target for Blackpool.

The People says Seasiders boss Ian Holloway hopes Harry Redknapp will let the 20-year-old leave in a year-long loan deal despite looking good in Spurs' pre-season preparations.

Walker has yet to claim a regular place at White Hart Lane but Holloway thinks he has top-flight potential and is keen to snap him up

If we did loan him out, it would be great to loan him to a lower Premier League team.

cheers for info RK

so we have room for two more ATM in 25

pletikosa (sp?) and bellamy say

if we got in jagielka too, for example, we could shift out naughton or hutton

tho cos woodgate won't make it - no-one need go on that score

so we're looking well sorted on the 25 front, domestically

UEFA more tricky

two out of hutton naughton o'hara jj sandro not reg'd?

I assume sandro rainieri is the brazilian we've signed?

While Corluka and Kaboul were iffy at the back on the US tour, Walker always showed composure, good decision making and excellent positioning. Per Metesackers is 6'3 has none of these attributes and is a mess. Walker is a great center back in the making and WE MUST KEEP HIM.

Although Kaboul put in some decent performances at the back end of last season (particularly bossing Bellamy out of it at City), I don't see him as a RB full time. It would've been unfair to throw a 19 year old Walker into a CL battle and Kaboul was the only real alternative at the time. But I see Walker as being Corluka's understudy going forward, with Hutton being sold as soon as a half decent bid comes in (£6m+)

We seem to be getting closer in our views on the squads! Just a couple of comments though...

Anton Blackwood doesn't qualify for the B list in Europe as he only signed from Arsenal last summer
I'm not entirely sure whether Huddlestone counts as Club Trained for Europe

Do you want me to set you up as an editor on the Google squad spreadsheet I posted previously? http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AkGaJ1uZSVNadDlNa1p0TDlWa1JZcHQ0Zm1YMC1WRXc&hl=en_GB#gid=1

Would be more than happy to work with you on this?

so if hudd isn't club trained, and o'hara leaves/is injured, will we be able to move say livermore or parrett into the A list to get our quota of 4?

No, we'd just name a smaller squad (but with Livermore and Parrett still in the B list so we wouldn't be any worse off).

a couple of articles seem to be suggesting that the U21's can only play in case of emergencies (such as "losing 2 of 3 senior keepers" quote from daily mail article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...eague-squad-rule-big-earners-sitting-out.html)

can anyone verify if this is the case? or just more Daily Mail BS...

I don't think it does say that - but it's definitely not the case.

Their 'which clubs are going to suffer' thing seems to identify trouble where there is none.

Man City will have to leave out five players

They've got Chelsea wrong. They have 5 homegrown players (Turnbull, Terry, Cole, Mancienne and Lampard) but Scott Sinclair counts as U21. If they sign anyone else over 21 that doesn't count as homegrown they would have to leave someone out of their squad but they're ok as it stands now.

Liverpool have six homegrown players (Johnson, Carragher, Darby, Gerrard, Spearing, Cole) not five. They have room for one more signing over 21 that doesn't count as homegrown.

Arsenal have no problems, even if Sol Campbell does re-sign.

Man U do have a problem although the Mail claims they don't. They have to leave out two players as it stands just because of the number of over 21s they have in their squad (27 at the last count).

Interesting choice of 5 teams the Mail featured - no us again! Also, as it stands very few clubs will be affected by the rules:
Bolton - need to leave out 1
Man Utd - need to leave out 2
Man City - need to leave out 5
Wolves - need to leave out 3

it's in the photo section under the heading "what can a club do if one of their squad sustains a long-term injury?"

There's a full stop between 'use one of them' and 'In exceptional circumstances' though...

it also says they can 'have' as many u21's as they like and 'use' one of them.

So does that mean if (as speculated above) Walker is not registered and has to come in for a game or two, that no other unregistered U21's can feature? (even in the squad)
