let's just give him the season to see if he has the ability to turn it around when things are bad. He never got the chance at Porto or Chelsea, how will he learn?

But really today I couldn't really care less:D

It's amazing what a beautiful girlfriend and just buying a new 3 litre z4 sport with flappy paddles can do for you.

6-0 so what....rain drops keep falling on my head, but that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red:cool: sha lala la la .....because I'm freeeee nothing's worrying...meeeeeeee :)

Am not an AVB Out man at the moment but am starting to get extremely concerned

He doesn't seem to be learning from his mistakes

Oh well is this is what it's come to?

If we sack him I may give up on spurs.

I've seen too many mangers come and go and we simply can not do this again.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side

Fuck the grass. This is what we've come to and it'll be what it comes to as soon as the going gets rough with the next guy, the one after that, the one after that and the one after that too.

Poster A: Get Laudrup in
Poster B: Kloop!
We then appoint one of them
Poster A: Michael Laudrups blue and white army!
Poster B: I wanted Kloop but Laudrup is the man!
A few months later we aren't playing swashbuckling football, or we lose a few games, or the manager 'says things'...........
Poster A: Laudrup out!
Poster B: I wanted Kloop!
Then we repeat the whole cycle, with the added irritation that those calling loudest for his head are those were giving it large about wanting him in the first place. There's no place for being wrong or for self examination on SC, fuck that.

I hope Levy has the minerals to stand by AVB, I really do. Because if he doesn't then as far as i'm concerned he's as big a part of the problem as the unrelenting and unforgiving demands of some fans is. After all, he's presided over the whole shebang. But god forbid you point the finger in the bald ones direction. Harry is a ****, Ramos is a ****, AVB is a ****, Jol is a fat **** but the man who appointed them is a genius? Fuckoff.

I hesitate to say it, because some holier than thou dipstick will take umbrage, but we deserve what we get because we keep on doing it.

So fuck you, unnamed dipstick. Ram it up your arse.

Stand by AVB Levy for fucks sake. For once in your dwarfling bald headed fucking life, stand by the man you picked and see it through. See it through as see where it takes us. Because the net result so far hasn't been all that fucking great.

I think today i'm about as close as i've ever been to throwing SC's rules away and ****ing a few people right off. I still haven't ruled it out. But passions run high after a humiliation like this so lets see what a cup of coffee and twenty minutes kicking Mrs A&C up the chuff brings. Probably the police and a stern look from the mother in law.

I said it wasn't possible playing the way we have been. Scoring so few goals.

You yourself keep saying where's the evidence for things changing etc.

I'm simply making the point its foolish to expect us to finish in the top four playing the way we are. We simply don't score enough goals.

He did change things last year when he had a poor start to the season.

Dont we all know it.

If you dont see us changing it up anytime soon under AvB then the answer is to sack AvB. The answer is not to accept it.

We have targets. And we need to be proactive in achieving them, we should never ever just accept the state of affairs.

For the record, im not there yet myself, i have a little inkling that the penny dropped sometime over the last couple of weeks and today he got it less wrong than against Newcastle. And so id give him a chance to see if he can act on it (or if indeed im right0. It was never going to be the game to see a change in our system today

Still if its not looking up in 2-3 games. Fuck him out of it. Im not precious.

Well I'd agree. I'm mot there yet either, but my patience is being tested. He deserves the opportunity to rectify this but we simply have to see a change and big improvement in way the we play football, with the ball as an attacking unit.

If we don't start to see a big change in the next couple of games, and to be honest I want to see it being very evident starting on Sunday, then it will be time to seriously examine where we are and were we are heading under AVB - not just results, but performances and how we play our football.

Will we give the next manager enough time? no. How about we write off a couple of seasons and back a manager however he performs. I'd rather we give someone a fair chance than perpetually shoot ourselves in the foot.

We really shouldn't have to go over this everytime we lose a couple of games.

For most of us it isn't just about losing a couple of games, more that bale papered over the cracks last season and nothings improved, a couple of lucky penalty's have helped us this season but clearly we had problems but AVB's seems clueless as to how to sort it out

There isn't a Spurs fan alive who doesn't want our manager to be the next Alex Ferguson but you have to say that other than playing a high defensive line,he hasn't shown us anything to suggest that he has the tactical acumen to be a great manager or even a decent one in this league.
You simply can't keep backing a loser just for the sake of it.....that's just plain crazy.

I'm pretty sure Levy will want to stick with AVB, but I'm not sure whether he will if the majority of players start knocking on Danny's door to complain.

I agree with this but he has had opportunities, this isnt the first bad performance, we have been poor all season except norwich and yet AVB hasnt shown any signs of improvements

I didnt want him sacked before the match as i felt he deserved another chance but now having lost 6-0 to a team that was missing 3 great players

The sentiment is right (imo)

But we all know fans can (and have) break (broken) a regime, and it could be getting to that point. If the tide truly turns on individual players/manager then it can be an inevitable outcome.

If there was a precedent from us standing by our man, then maybe the fans would be more tolerant but we have a history of the opposite, and it's all too easy just to get rid wipe the slate clean.

Yes but at least he gave Lamela a start and brought Ade off the bench and had him training with Soldado this week. As Cow in a Coma says, there are signs the penny has dropped ie he's trying something different.

Agree but Levy will be a cross roads, because we are still within shouting distance of a top 4 place!

He can continue down this road and let him try and fix it or try get someone who will change the atmosphere and go for that goal

Finishing in the top 4 isn't even my hope anymore for this season. Its simply not possible with how few goals we are scoring, anybody thinking we've got a chance playing the way we have been are highly delusional.

My hope is that we see a few decent moves and some goals irrespective of were we finish. That shouldn't be too much to hope for given the quality we possess.

I don't think that's unfair or unrealistic.
Our remit this season was undoubtedly finish top 4 though but then it's not black and white to suggest that Andre's seat is purely dependent on it.

I appreciate what your saying re better attacking football and that's something we all crave but then this season was always deemed to be transitional with all the trials and tribulations attached.

Maybe things will get worse before they get better but it goes without saying the next few weeks are pivotal and telling in whether Daniel backs his horse, as he did fantastically in the summer and looks longer term or looks to the fire button for an immediate response.

Hard to say which one will prove more effective come the end of the season but we need strong leadership in every facet of this club to steer us through and ultimately hope for the best.

I cant say anything to this as i missed the game, I woke went down stairs after missing 5 mins and as im walking down. My dad shouts to me walk back up and go to bed, you dont want to watch this and for the first time ever, I walked up and missed the tottenham match.

The sentiment is definitely right to stick by your man through a tough period, I think the vast majority of reasonable fans would accept that and back it, without doubt.

I think the problem here is that it isn't just a stodgy period of results, its the dire football we've witnessed all season. The problems seem inherently deep rooted. Whilst AVB has done very well to make us a more organised and robust outfit its came at a price. We're rigid and very dull to watch which will heighten frustrations when results start to turn, which they surely have now.

I want AVB to turn it around but there isn't much evidence to suggest he will at the moment. There's backing your man, but there's also blind faith.

We need to see a change pretty quickly IMO. I'm quite happy to take the shit results on the chin, I'm not prepared to watch the dire shite we've been subjected to for the remainder of the season with no sign of the problems being addressed - although I might have to lol ;)
