Not in a million years thanks.

From a man manager like Harry to a nutcase like AVB

The way he went about the job at Chelsea was absolutely shocking. Don't think anyone could have done a worse job with that squad of players

Maybe so, its just the impression I got from him. His heart never really seemed in it, for example he never really improved his grasp of the language beyond basic/just enough to get by.

maybe international management didn't agree, how you can say his heart wasn't in it i dont know because he's show's far more emotion than redknapp on the touchline!. club management & daily interaction with players is completly different maybe thats why he won leagues/cups & european cups with teams in both his native italy & spain.. i aint got a clue if he spoke spanish either but he definatly got through to the players to acheive that!.

For me, AVB blew any chance of being taken seriously when he said he didn't need the dressing room on his side (or words to that effect). I know the Chelsea dressing room is full of utter twats, but it was a ridiculous and bizarre position to take. An error of judgement serious enough to count him out on its own in my books.

I thought his command of the language was a disgrace. £6m a year.

Yeh pretty much. I have a feeling that in his first press conference he said something in broken english like 'Its not a problem, I will learn English in one month', cant say I saw a radical improvement.

AVB was working with a load of ego's and over the hill players, but even when they came to the lane and drew you could tell he already had them well drilled and working hard.

I'd love to see what he could do with a young, talented squad........oh wait a minute....I have.......he won a treble with 1 attempt.....

Pienaar!?

What about him? He certainly doesn't have the wealth of talent at his disposal that Harry has and yet they put four goals in at Old Trafford, exactly what is dumb about that statement. And my reply was towards someone calling Moyes a boring option, difficult to be boring if you have scored four goals away at Old Trafford, which shows Moyes can be more than just about unattractive football.

I think he would be an excellent candidate for us to consider.

He likes hard work, discipline and doesn't lack in courage the way that he fought an almost impossible position at Chelsea, i also think that Levy would be the right type of chairman for AVB.

I think AVB would bring the same issues with tactical inflexibility that we are experiencing with Harry. I think he needs more experience before coming to a club in our current flux.

I wouldn't be surprised if part of his severance package included a clause preventing him taking another job in ENgland for a year or two

Anyway, he could be worth a gamble because if we have just lost out on CL football and have to sell our best player (or two) expectations will be lower and pressure on the manager would be less

It would be a less high profile job and as with Rodgers I think the lesser spot light of having no CL football could aid there transition into our job and give them time to build and form the squad in their own style/image

For the record I voted not worth discussing as it won't happen as frankly I don't think it will

At this point I don't think Villas- Boas wants anything to do with the english game after being mutinied by his own team. I know this is maddening to think of But Benitez might be our best choice when it comes to our next manager. I say this based mostly on his ability to produce competent and stylish teams. Liverpool and Valencia under him won some trophies and were very good all around teams. Lets no forget our team is for the most part young and inexperienced and need a tactical astute trainer that can get the best out of a developing squad. Bale, modric, sandro, lennon, walker are all in their mid to early twenties and are quite gifted but need guidance to reach their pinnacle.

I didn't mean to rate the post dumb. I'm not even sure how I did!!!!!

How can you say his English just seemed enough for him to get by? First things first, at least he tried. Maybe languages isn't his forte. I could sit down and be taught a language everyday for a year but I'd be f*cking useless at it. Im awful at languages. Also, do you know him personally mpickard? How do you know he wasn't trying everyday? Just because you didn't see much improvement doesn't mean he didn't give a shit.

Small buttons and fat fingers mate is general problem when using a mobile.

I wouldn't be to upset with Moyes to be honest his teams are well organised. People will say his teams aren't adventurous, but if he had VDV Bale, modric and the rest i am sure it would be a different story.
