No news on this so far, you’d think that if this is a top priority option in a top priority position, we’d hear more of it ala Raya 🤔
Well he’s probably been a bit busy with the open top buses and what not hasn’t he.

Yeah, and if he moves to us, he best enjoys those moments at City. It won't be happening here as frequently or ever :ROFLMAO:

We’d have to pay around £40m for a player that will want around £150k p/w in wages for three years, who has all but no resale value in the long run. Can't see Levy sanctioning this, personally.

He'd be mad to leave there, but it seems like a host of them are considering it and even Guardiola wants to go and manage a national side. Can we have Gundoan, Silva, Walker/Cancelo, Mahrez and Laporte please.

Agree with this and also think he would have more appealing offers from other clubs.

Have any ITKs mentioned this one recently?

Exactly. People will point to us splashing the cash on Romero, Porro, Ndombele etc but Laporte (as good as he is and I would love to sign him) is a 29 year old, injury prone on high wages and would require a hefty-ish fee. Even if we were willing I’d imagine he’d have a few better options than us

Whilst this is an exciting link, has there actually been any reports or info on this being a possibility outside of the original ITK? …and that’s not me doubting the ITK, I’m just curious if there’s actually been any noise on this outside of that as haven’t seen anything in the pages I’ve read?

A shame as we were obviously once interested - but we aren't competing for that calibre of young player now.

I wonder if we only see movement on Laporte after City make their moves.

Yeah Laporte 100% leaving. Just hope we push to wrap it up. Give him high wages, he’s exactly what we need

Apologies if this is seen as an unnecessary bump but I'd said before that my biggest worry was Bayern selling Hernandez to PSG, as this would mean they would be after a LCB and Laporte would be perfect for them. However, it sounds like Bayern have hijacked Utd's bid for Kim who plays as a LCB. If that happens then I think our chances of getting Laporte increase a lot.

I reckon we haven't heard the last of Piero Hincapie. He seems an ideal target age/finance wise and a very Ange player.
