City spend big bit I’m telling you their recruitment and football set-up is top top class, they get far more hits than misses which isn’t always the case when spending a lot of money as a Chelsea and Man.U and other clubs have shown.
I keep hearing and seeing this. Only because they are cheats and can afford the best people.

Yeah City's extensive infrastructure is 100% the result of their financial doping and is, long-term, far more useful to them than individually flashy signings

Sure, they do seem to get more hits now. I do recall them buying about 400m worth of fullbacks before getting it right though. Also, let's not forget that family members of players are getting fat wages from other parts of City group in order for transfers to happen- for Harland alone there is talk of £50M being paid to his family -all off the FFP books.

Additionally, their football set up includes a top legal team. They know that the punishment for "failure to co-orperate" is far less than for financial doping /corruption, so they just didn't supply the required paperwork. As we all work on an innocent until proven guilty methodology they can claim to be "innocent" technically , whilst actually simply withholding evidence of their guilt.

They are bending all of the rules, using all of the loopholes, and are not acting in the spirit of the game. They have broken the game. We now have Saudi clubs agreeing terms with players that are not for sale (Willian reported to have agreed terms today-11 days after signing a new Fulham contract and them wanting to keep him). The authorities are toothless and it is City that have shown them to be such.

There are other clubs that can as well but city have the cash and the competence. Look at psg they can't get close

Psg got to the champions league final just a couple of years ago. They have also had Neymar, Messi and Mbappe playing for them -PSG!

Also, they are doing things differently to city. Firstly they were purchased 2 or 3 years after city (who already had one of the most corrupt owners in history run the game). Secondly, PSG have infiltrated UEFA. They cannot refuse to play by UEFA rules or do things anywhere near as dodgy as City. PSG are supposed to be the respectable face of filthy money. I am sure that with hindsight PSG would have been more dodgy, but City are in another league (literally and figuratively).

PSG respectable 😂. They are way more Brazen about their cheating. They just infiltrated the uefa board to stop themselves from getting charged.

Yeah they are making up sponsorship deals from fake companies to inflate revenue streams and claiming this is because they are biggest brand in the world ahead of historical clubs like Man U, Barcelona, Madrid etc… They are the only club to come out of the pandemic with a profit - how can that not be dodgy?! 😂

Yea they have become a more well run self-sustaining club in the last 2-3 years but that is only because they literally cheated to grow their club to that level.

One club cheats a little better than the other. The end result is they both win almost every domestic trophy.
Even if you have money you have to identify the players and coach them effectively. Look at Everton and Brighton spend and performance by comparison. Same for Brentford.

Yes city are cheats but they also are very good at investing and coaching the right players.

Would be the best signing we could make this summer. Walks into our team and immediately elevates it. Yes there are younger players out there, but this would be like signing a Toby or Jan again. Top player. Should be all over it.

Royal/Romero/Laporte/Van de Ven - with Udogie to be an option as well - not sure we could afford Laporte's wages though..
