Disagree (although won't bother with the neg repping because you've given decent reasoning). All you need to do is look at Bale with Wales where he's an integral part of possibly the best 'team' of 2015, certainly at international level. As far as I'm concerned, if you're not successfully accommodating someone of Bale's ability in to a team then you're not up to the job of managing at the highest level.

With Wales he's the main man though, so its built around him mostly. The problem is that he has based a lot of his game around Ronaldo, but the way modern football is you cannot have two (or more, which is frequently the case whenever I watch Madrid) contributing little to the defensive effort, conserving energy, waiting to be given the ball to be lethal in attack. Both those players will want to be the dominant force and one will lose out. Not to mention the best teams take advantage of a team which carries a couple of passengers off the ball.

Bale is on a different level. And none of them have neck beards.

Well Lamela looks like he's getting ready for the Nazi of the year competition, but I take your point.

You're right, wtf is up with that beard? Why would anyone even want a beard on just your neck? That is the most irritating bit about having a beard or needing a shave

Once Ronaldo moves to PSG this Summer he'll be the main man and everyone will love him there. Otherwise I can see Man U throwing £150m at Real to test the resolve, then he'll be a Man Utd player and everyone will say how it's where he belongs and he should have gone there rather than us in the first place.

And I'll be sad, him in any prem shirt that isn't the Lilywhite will be heart breaking

Great player but I don't think I'd want him back tbh. I remember MP saying before on a few occasions he'd rather try and turn someone into a player as good as Messi than have Messi himself in his side.

I guess it's nice to aspire to coaching players up to the level of Messi, or even Bale, but since that's extremely unlikely to ever happen I wouldn't be so quick, and I doubt Poch would either, to turn my nose up at the signing of a truly top class player.

he doesn't even say he was better with spurs, just different.

anyway, the main reason for him being half the player now is because of his ridiculous physique, he's carrying way too much upper body muscle.

I would hope that the fact he continues to say nothing but great stuff about Spurs, and the weight of support he still has from our fans, that Levy will see the sense in making sure that when the time comes that he is available whatever we offer him in wages is competitive.

The price of him moving will be a different argument, as i'm almost certain Madrid still owe us, but if Dan is still in two minds, just have him imagine Toby firing them big crosses with superhuman like accuracy and a rampaging Welshman being at the other end... hard to argue.

Maybe through his business brain and negotiation skills, Levy can work out a deal with a major sponsor to finance the return of Bale.

Fuck off, Bale would be unreal in our urrent team.
The one true world class player who can turn a game on its head with one piece of unreal play.

If he was in our current team, we'd be challenging the title, absolutely positive that would be the case.

But, he's not, and we're not, but nice to think about!
With him in the team, quite a few of those draws would've been wins, and we'd probably be top.

I think it's as much about moulding a player to his particular playing style as just making them good, and it's easier to do that with a blank canvas.

He's easy to play against and that's his fault.

I love our team ethic now and as the team continues to grow and develop its that foundation that sets us up for long term success.

As good as Bale is, I think we'd lose a bit of that intense work rate in the forward positions if he came back to play the main man - would worry that it would rub off on some of the other younger players as well.

I could question some things but Bale is not lazy and can't fathom why people can't remember how hard he used to work for us also how hard he worked to get where he is now.

Personally my point of view for what it's worth is he would fit in with poch perfectly.

Love him. If Bale came back to Spurs I would go straight round his house and wank through his letterbox........which is actually good incentive to come back so scrap that.

But wouldn't you just love it if he tipped Manure bollocks and ran his contact at Madrid down?
He can only have 2 years left now?

Well we're six points off, and Leicester is up top. Bale in any of the top 6 sides would have them challenging and winning it in the current climate.
