Why? There are over 100,000 flights a day, a DAY. The odds of dying in a plane crash are something like 1 in 30 million and even if you are in a crash the chance of surviving are 25% What is there to possibly get freaked out about?

It's perfectly understandable that people get freaked out by it - you're suspended thousands of feet in the air, and if anything goes wrong you're dead - it's not like a car accident where you've a chance of surviving.

I just try to remember that it's about 100x safer than car travel - does the trick.

You have around a 25% chance of surviving a plane crash where there are other fatalities. I think it more comes down to the lack of control that scares people. Still doesn't scare me though, but then I'm nails.

I never used to have an issue with flying, but then I got married and had kids.
We have only ever flown as a family once, every other time I have flown for work, on my own.
I don't fear flying, I fear dying in a plane crash and leaving them behind.

4 points from next 2 games would be great
would take a point, going to be a tight group
fancy us to beat moscow at home so we will probably need 4 or 5 points from the other 3 games
An away draw would be a good result as long as we win at home. Win our two home games and draw here and we should be through the group

Dude youre 40000ft in the air, no control over the flight and basically a crash would mean certain death. These statistics mean nothing to me because ultimately those people who have died previously in crashes will have also used those statistics.

I go into panic mode when we take off and dont get me started when they switch on seatbelt sign mid flight or when there is a bit of an air bump ie turbulence. I still fly alot but it doesnt get easier.

Ye I'm not a big fan of it myself. Always thought drinking would make my paranoia worse though..

If you haven't tried it then get some Valium, especially seeing as you fly so much. You can get them prescribed from your doc and they helped me go from mid flight panic attacks to having a relatively calm flight. Also good for comedowns!

Change your name! Then what you think may happen when you fly may not!!

Ive had vallium but it can be addictive and did have a reliance on it a very long time ago so thats a no no now.

I will never change my name. My name is here to stay man

Just reading the match preview on BBC Sport. I love the way Poch is so confident and positive. Its important we win he says. I am sure that is a message the team have and we really go out to win the game. We underestimate ourselves a lot of the time, this mentality is key for us to progress and start winning things.

Love Poch!

It's like you hacked my brain and used your fingers to write what I was thinking. Well...except for the non-bold part.

Don't get what you all have with your Fear of Flying, completely irrational.
Now the fear of the plane suddenly crashing, that I would understand!
