I don't particularly rate Mason BUT did rate Carrick highly - how do I fit into your insulting categorisation?;)

But I agree about Suarez.

I think it's absolutely fair to be on the fence with Mason but if you rated Carrick then, if Mason kicks on as I hope, I reckon you'll rate him too. The jury's out on you though [edit: this is meant playfully just in case it offends any poor little lamb who thinks I'm being a rude arsehole] and I do hope you're not one of those on here who claim Mason will "never make it".

The jury is out on Mason, too. So...

I quite like Stambouli and it would be nice to think the club are giving him a chance to prove himself but I suspect they are not and the truth is more like this; Watford want Stambouli and are having to match his wages of 30-40k per week. Fine if your in the prem but not if you're not and he is also concerned about playing Championship football if they go down.

I imagine Spurs have just said no problem Watford, if you go down we will take him back off you for a small fee to reduce your wage liability and Benji if you're worried we promise we'll sell you to a Prem team when you come back.

It's not so much they want to keep the bloke but rather they are trying to do all they can to get him out the door and make the deal attractive.

Sad really I remember when he did his first Spurs TV interview and he seemed genuinely happy to be at Spurs, quite a lot to like about his game too, the desire to move the ball quickly the clever feet. Maybe never going to be quite up to it but I think he has a right to feel a little bit aggrieved that he never got more game time or a chance to play himself into the Premiership.

I hope he is a big success.

It would be great if we're doing what Real do with lots of their players, selling them with options to buy them back. Perhaps the special relationship was worthwhile after all...

Jesus Christ you're sensitive. It was clearly tongue in cheek and responded to in kind by the poster.

To be honest, it wasn't clear and I did think you were being a bit rude. Sarcasm needs emoticons on the internet.;)

Watford just signed a DM from hamburg, behrami....doubt Benji will go there now

I guess it depends on how they're planning to set-up. But I can't imagine he'd go there without assurances of playing time, given he's just come off a frustrating time with us.

Fair enough - was hardly horribly mean spirited - I tend to assume most interactions on the Internet are sarcastic and not take them to heart.

Anyway, I apologise for any offence caused (y):)

On your second point, I can see them going 3 in the middle so Benji is still a possibility. They're making some good signings
