Yep, great article IMO. Darren Lewis raises a great point that it's not too late for Levy to salvage this. We need to get rid of Baldini now, which will give Poch just over a month to start looking to secure some targets.

Just love bumping this thread for all those who didn't agree at the time and now this season we've had to bring through 4-5 youth players to save us because the players we bought who were supposed to be good enough weren't or didn't have the right attitude.

I seriously hope Levy cuts his losses on lots of these and Potch gets to build a team to suit the way he wants to play.

Thats probably a bit too optimistic expecting him to get the players he wants,im expecting more of the same levy wont change his MO.

I wouldn't feel too self righteous about this thread if I were you. You wrote it when drunk/hung over on a beach in Spain, and the only player you mention by name as a possible incoming is Davies, so you shouldn't exactly be in charge of our transfer dealings either.

The point remains that we went balls deep in a transfer strategy of hiring a director of football and using his connections to sign the best available talent in Europe at high costs, only for them all to be shit (bar Chadli and Eriksen) and for us to be now looking to completely abandon that "strategy" a near 2 years later.

Definitely a mess although one that can be fixed but not without leaving a hole in Levy's pocket which he may not find acceptable.

Never wanted to be in charge of our transfer dealings, a beach in Spain sounds like a much better option I am also not mystic meg guessing who we will bring in.

I do however know what makes a good balanced squad and we fucked ours up, lets hope we sort it out now.

I think you'll find your about a million miles wide of the mark.
Those transfers were from a committee that is gone.
Baldini is not the DOF and never was.
