Disagree, we can definitely progress with him in the team, far more pressing issues to solve around him first which would also hopefully reduce some of the shitload of work he has to do every week.
He’s nowhere near Bentancur, he’s the standard we need. Bentancur is like replacing Dembele, we need another of that quality. Do agree there are priorities that sooner need addressing though

How the fuck is Davinson Sanchez still at this club?
He had a few good games last season and fans on SC were saying how he has improved under Conte and would be a decent squad player - that's the f&*$ing problem with Spurs fans, they are willing to settle for poor / average players in the squad and so when we get injuries or players need a rest the second 11 is basically wank.

Well another exciting second half albeit starting with another early second half goal conceded. A few thoughts:

Surprised at the starting back 3 when Conte sees Moore is starting for them. Lenglet is not accustomed to playing against a big physical CF and Sanchez is too easily bullied by that type of forward.

First half they played Conteball better than we have for most of this season.

We are such a mentally weak team who fall apart in face of adversity. Their first goal, against the run of play, completely rattled us and in the following 5-10 minutes we were all over the place, especially defensively, and could have conceded more
.
For the second game in a row we’ve had a pitiful first half, where we’ve fallen behind, followed by a rip roaring dominating second half. Those 2 second half performances show we can dominate games on the front foot. There could be some truth in the rumor that we have purposely being playing with handbrake on in this first half of the season so we can ratchet it up after the WC and come out with all guns blazing!! Who knows? We e shown in the last 2 games what we’re capable of without necessarily everyone playing that well.

I'm still out on the window ledge looking down from the 15th floor.

Has VAR confirmed our winner yet?

It's cold out here and my dinners nearly ready.

It was team, not Conte that won this one. Bournemouth came out and scored right at the start of the 2nd half which doesn't speak volumes about his half time talk. Thank God for his substitutions.
We actually started the game pretty well untill the goal and then Bournemouth were the better side. 2nd we come out the better side and they got the goal on the break but this time we didn't give up and we got better especially after the subs.

Emerson and Sanchez have to go. They completely unbalance our team, I don't believe other players have any faith in them on the pitch.
Someone said they wonder what Kane is thinking.

Well, we should know as he trains with them everyday and sees their limitations.

That's also probably why Kane starts moving out wide and crossing himself

I don't see a player rating thread -but I am giving my vote to Sessegnon. His goal shocked some confidence into the team, and everyone seemed to pick up the intensity level. Bentancur coming in certainly provided the stability and drive, but Sessegnon was the spark.

Sanchez and Emerson are our club version of dumb and dumber. Both need to be shipped out in January.

This season has a scary amount of parallels with Nuno’s season and Mourinho’s final season. When Nuno and Mourinho got criticised for team selection and play style, they *at least* tried to be more attacking. 8 defensive minded players away to newly promoted Bournemouth. Just fuck off.
While you have point you are being blinded by what their positions are which is not what they are actually supposed to be doing. In this system the WBs are attacking players and in that half Skipp was very far forward supporting the front 2 so you have in fact 5 defenders and 5 attackers. The fact that not all the players carry out their role effectively doesn’t change that.

I think the battling and "two" last minute winners does bode well for this group and Conte.. they are fighting for him.. but some are letting him down and he needs to realise it quick

We actually started the game well and the 2nd half well.
Think Bournemouth's goal was the first time they'd come forward. Although I missed first 10 mins so didnt see.

But we dominated yet showed the same issues. Players getting into positions where the quality had to be much higher.

So many crosses failing to beat first man or first time passes being ignored.

Think we also suffered because we dont have the quality to go centrally unless Bentancur is on.

But we got caught out cause we couldn't make the dominance count or create something substantial. Bournemouth were always going to sit back knowing qe lack that.

But had we not had Emerson and Sanchez along with Skipp trying to be the creator, I feel we would have scored early or at least responded earlier.

Was Skipp injured or rested after the first half?
Tactical switch as he was playing out of position and was playing more attacking rw. He done well considering but was silly to start him like that . Was a poor line up

Tactical switch. Bissouma could have been taken off instead of Skipp in my opinion. But we need more attacking players for the second half. I am not sure what Conte is thinking with that stupid starting line-up.

The schedule this year does demand teams to box clever a bit, you can blame substandard players etc, but I think a lot of that just goes down to the tactics and what is instilled in them as to how they play. It is pragmatic football, not too open, not too much risk, slightly with the handbrake on by default etc.

It reminds me of us under Jose tbh, then for all the justified complaints there were plenty of games where for spells of the match when we were suddenly forced to attack/needed a goal we amazingly would, and could. Same now under Conte, a couple of games this week where the situation absolutely dictates you have to give it a go we do and can. But it just seems to be the emergency option, rather than the norm.

I think as fans you just want a happy medium, no one expects (or wants, I'd imagine) gung-ho open freewheeling lottery football every match, but at the same time not playing so cautiously, keeping your powder dry, and only really giving it a proper go when in a desperate situation. At the moment that balance isn't there, especially now teams have seemingly sussed out our tactics a little bit.

No it doesn't. Some but only cause we are struggling with injuries.

Jose had zero startegy going forward and relied on brilliance from Kane and Son.

Nuno stifled everyone and by the time we got the ball forward everything broke down.

Remember the attacking stats under them? Such as touched in opposition area/crosses/xG etc

Every attacking metric Conte improved significantly.

You're being blinded by how ineffective we are in attack and that's largely because we have injuries, players struffling for form (Son) and players adjusting.

Im sure after WC break you won't be saying the same thing
