Had Bony or Benteke ever played in this league?

EPL players of a decent standard cost more than we will pay. People who think we'll buy Bony are deluded. Swansea will want £20-25m.

I get that we'd rather buy players who can make an instant impact but they will cost more than we'll ever be willing to pay.

You need an instant impact in Jan. Otherwise it's pointless.

Why? We're not in risk of relegation and unfortunately we're not really in risk of getting top 4. Instant impact would be nice but getting the settling in period out the way with actual league experience, getting used to Pochettino's methods etc. is also useful reason to sign in January. Also stops us faffing around in the summer and waiting until the end of August for a striker.

I simply cannot see Benteke or Bony happening in January, even if we offer truly insane money, for the simple reason that Villa and Swansea won't be able to replace them; Villa need Benteke to keep them out of the relegation battle, and Swansea must think they're in with a decent shout of Europe next season.

Gignac and Huntelaar have both been mentioned, but I really can't see either happening. We'd also be gambling that they'd adjust to the EPL, and neither's been especially consistent.

At this point, I just want to see a busy **** of the forward variety. Someone who can run all day and make defenders lives hell by never giving them a moments rest and will compete for every ball. Fuck technique/skill/goals, things have got so bad I just want to see someone who will run through brick walls for the team.

Like AVB all poch needs to do till the summer is alter the way we play fuck this high press or possession football sit back win the ball and hit on the break, exactly what teams have done to us for a while now. Our players are far more suited to that IMO then let Poch over time buy exactly the players he needs to fit his true style and get there more gradually.

We've had so many missed opportunities with players it's unreal. And I mean physical strikers with some pace, which is exactly what we don't have.

Having said that, I'm available and my cost is cheap as chips which should be right up Levy's street. I'm only 5ft6 but I can shoot better than Adebayor for starters.
