I am hoping this result will give us confidence going forward and ignite that something extra the successful teams seem to have. We struggled throughout the game but our team spirit got us the draw. Unfortunately I think the game also showed the limitations of a few players particularly Davies and Sessegon. Both tried their best but were exposed numerous times during the game. Sessegon seems unable to go past a man and that really limits his ability to contribute when we are attacking.

Conte last season said there are games that you can't lose. This is one of them. I will take a draw all day long there. The players near the end showed risiliance and fight to claw 2 back. Romero is super lucky he didn't get sent off and out for 3 matches. I think I still see some of Cuccurellas hair stuck to his hand hahhah

We got out-coached today.
But we came back from being a goal down in both matches so far…so that adds a strong belief of resilience, which you sometimes can’t coach on a training paddock.
We needed a massive shift in energy and we got that.

Also…from a certain camera angle….I’m not actually sure it was a real hair grab.
I want to see more slow motion replays of it.

We played Chelsea 4 times last season and was outplayed easily 4 times.

Roll on this season and...

FT: Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham
We're only two games into the new season and Tottenham have already won four points from losing positions.

Couldn't give a toss about the performance. It's points that matter.
Both games we lost last season too

Sess was fine going forward last week though. Think it was just the combination of James and Loftus-Cheek. He'll be fine in other games.

Was it? I don’t know all the rule changes, but it comes off the defender before it passes Richarlison and goes in… so similar to the champions league quarter final vs City and the old can’t be offside from a back pass… (this might be one of the rule changes where slight deflecting don’t count anymore?)

He was offside from the shot we got lucky imo even for the second the stupid hair pull could easily have gone against us -

Kante was superb for them as usual against us our midfield was battered neither of them were in the game and we couldn't get near them to press - take the point lot of room for improvement to many players not very good today and you need to be in games like that - Dier had a decent game and I thought Royal did ok

Cuti retweeted this.

Google translate: Stop crying with the play where Cuti Romero pulls your hair, in this it is Cucurella's double foul on Cuti and they didn't charge anything either. Taylor was even in his arbitration.

Yep their tactics really stifiled him, he will get better and better.

Emerson, Davies and PEH however need upgrading with Lenglet, Bissouma and Doherty or Spence up to speed or just sign Traore :)
