Well we played well for the first 15 minutes but what good is it creating chances when you just crumble to pieces afterwards, almost seems to be a recurring thing these days.

I always try and keep positive but this is bloody annoying.

Started so well, unbelievable how we fell apart. Biggest thing was they really shut down Kane as an out ball after the first 15 minutes and we couldn't get the interplay going in their half any more.
Lennon's movement needs to stretch them more when we're on the ball and Eriksen needs to tuck in and offer another option in midfield. The CB's need to do better cutting off service to Drogba, he's finding it way to easy to make simple lay off's to their forwards.

Hate to say it but Chelsea are a well oiled machine.....literally :ROFLMAO:

A bright start was halted once they went up a gear or two, but i think our early play was excellent with slick quick pass and move, but then matic and fibreglass suffocated us in MF and our attackers were marked out of the game.

Lamela has been frustrating for me. Does some good stuff, but looses the ball in bad positions.

Id gamble with Soldado on for one of the Eriksen or Lennon.

Eriksen getting a free pass today from some supporters whilst Lamela get's bashed.

Erisken leaving Davies exposed a few times and Mason hasn't been too great give possession away in some silly areas, but nah let's give them a free pass.

I don't understand why Lamela keeps getting the nod in the centre spot. He should be on the left, and Eriksen in the middle.

Before we suddenly decide that we are shit again, can we just breath and remember who it is we are up against.
I think people are more annoyed at silly mistakes and a Mistake in team selection rather than expectations and way we are playing. Lloris kick terrible and to play lamella is just daft

Mason needs to calm down, running around like a headless chicken.

Lamela is getting slated because he's not sticking to the left or chasing back.

Both might not be his fault, they could be instructions, we'll find out if he gets subbed early on.

No-one is attacking Ivanovic and making him defend, therefore he is constantly causing problems for us.

People probably just not even watching game and following twitter and TalkSport about Lamela.

Still a very good performance all round. Bodes well for the future.

Started brightly but since the 1st 20 mins or so, Kane has been marked out of the game, we've gifted them 2 goals, and Chiriches, Lamela and Lennon have been dreadful. Chelsea haven't had to get out of 1st gear thanks to our suicidal defending.

We need to revert to Sunday's line up... except I would also bring on Naughton for the donkey at right back.

If they get another its definitely curtains, but if we could nick one and stop giving the ball away so easily we might just give ourselves a smidgen of a chance in the last ten minutes or so.

Teams like chelsea really punishes you when youre sloppy.
Poor defending on first goal..Lennon letting hazzard pass and letting him continue in the box.
second...Hugo, ffs.

But, we need to stick to the plan. With a bit more luck we could have had a goal.

Got a laugh at people on here, Chiriches Lloris Mason Lennon Eriksen and Kane's finishing have been poor yet it's Lamela that gets all the negative posts.

Fucking agendas on here is pathetic

Edit: yet our performance hasn't been too bad, it's that we're away against the best team in the league

I don't think we've been that bad. We've both had 6 chances, albeit we've only had 1 on target and hit the bar once. They've got the killer instict, we know they're more likely to finish their chances given their firepower, but the real difference is concentration and consistency. We have lapses at times where we'll mis-place a pass or mis-control the ball leading to a Chelsea attack.

I don't think we're out of this, and we can certainly scare them and have it within ourselves to get a goal back. We're not being outclassed and the two youngsters in the centre aren't being dominated, which is where Chelsea tend to win the game. Poch needs to tell the lads to pay a bit more attention and concentrate. Once we make those passes stick and stop losing the ball so cheaply we can hopefully cause some damage.
