He shouldn't have played Hudd full-stop!

He had a poor game but I like Hudd. He needs movement in front of him to be effective and two players protecting him. I think the City game we ended up playing 4-3-3 with Hudd sitting and it looked fucking awesome. Chelsea just found it too easy marking our movement today

Quite happy with a point, fucking ecstatic when Siggy put that ball in the net. I mean, they have a MUCH better squad available for tonight, they should fuck us up, but Adebayor put up his best performance for the season (ever?), and when Bale doesn't do something magical (we can't expect that every week), we should be happy with this point. We're still in the battle for 4th, arse have to play wigan and ncastle who both can go down if they don't perform, so I'm happy! Thought we would get smashed but thank fuck for Adebayor showing up finally!!

Agree - in hindsight, it's pretty great we got that point. One draw by Arsenal and we can get fourth.

Not sure if this posted or not, so just in case...

Great run by Azza to pull Azpiculapoopoo away from Ade, opening up the pitch and allowing him on his right foot to shoot... Should be an assist in its own right.

Oh wait I read on here that Lennon did nothing at all tonight I must be wrong my bad.

Dear Mr Adebayor,
You can check my previous posts through this season. I have always encouraged you. The short answer is that, as tonight proved, you can be a fantastic lone front man and striker. Forget your goal (wonderful as it was), your hold up and creative play tonight were top drawer. You have a choice (I hope) at this stage in your career; move on and be remembered as a mercenary and unfulfilled talent, or decide to finish your career at Spurs and become a 4-5 season legend. Rip up Stoke and Sunderland. Commit to something. 95% of Spurs fans don't care about the whole ex-gooner thing. With you, plus a new top striker and Defoe, and a new creative attacking central mid to use you at your best, we can see Ade 2014 even better than Ade 2012.

listen you can only pish with the cock you'v got chelsea hav spent millions and we fronted them up but now we have to match them up we need to loosen the purse strings and gamble BIG

Yeah it would have been nice though if we'd decided to piss on Chelsea with that cock instead of on our own feet for the first half hour :p

I dont disagree - but that is not his job is it? He is not the defensive midfielder meant to track runs - his role is different. And his role is not to "play a nice pass once in a while" - this is not FIFA 13. He keeps possession and distributes. Watch a replay of the second goal and you will know what i mean

Come off it, he's playing central midfield so of course it's a pre requisite to be able to stick your foot in and make more than his fucking feeble efforts to win posession back.

Look at players like Alonso and Pirlo - players that Huddlestone should aspire to be and tell me that they don't muck in with the dirty work along with being the technically brilliant footballers that they are.

Ade was excellent, that goal brought back glimpses of the player he can be.

Parker, Dawson, Holtby, Benny all very very poor. I still can't believe we got a point, we were awful for long periods of the game.

Also I nearly had a heart attack when first Dempsey and then Carroll appeared to be coming on instead of Defoe!

Well a point doesn't really help us but it was a brave fighting point against, I have to say (and it pains me) a bloody good Chelsea side. Their play really impressed me at times, the trinity of mata, Oscar and hazard were excellent at times.

Thought we were sloppy for large parts of the game but finished strongly again. Ade, Walker and Jan were very good, BAE, Sig, and Holtby were good.

Still holding out hope that Wigan will come up with something next week and that in turn will keep Newcastle interested. Fingers crossed.

For me with a stable manager, Chelsea will be out of sight in terms of us next season and be more than likely challenging for the title.

That leaves one CL spot between us and Arsenal... Good thing is they aren't likely to spend big this Summer and I would argue our strongest first 11 is better than theirs. If we can keep our best players and add one or two quality players... Not too worried.

This is slightly off topic isn't it.... :D

AVB is a good young manager but if we miss out on the top 4 and he says we had a good season he needs his head examined he really pissed me off when he said 2 strikers for a season is enough.

As for Lennon he can f*** off as far as im concerned im fed up kissing his arse i really hope we get someone better in the summer as he is far too inconsistent.
skinhead av and bad attitude aside, i think you have a point. lennon can be quite frustrating to watch sometimes. he has brilliant pace and good positioning, but his reluctance to shoot sometimes frustrates the hell out of me. i feel like we need someone on the right wing who can do better with scoring when it comes down to it. it's probably just a case of "the grass is always greener," but that's how i feel watching him these days

To be honest, the second the ball left his foot I went "Oh why can't he ever just blast it inooooOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYEAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!"

Ugh again I get a random dislike on a post because I disliked something someone else said. Slow clap for Tony 0379 (I can only hope that that's not your birthdate).

Yes, well put. Also Carrick, who has had a brilliant season in that role.

I agree with those that think that Huddlestone's possession play and good passing don't make up for his deficiencies - even with the "right" players/formation around him he's still not the kind of player we need to take us to the next level.

Nice quick passing for the second goal which we lack sometimes. Obviously Ade motm, maybe he should accidently wear azza's shorts more often!
