I'm not sure whats going on in this thread and I refuse to read it all but Vlad should be ahead of Dawson by quite some way. The guy has so much more ability than Dawson and he's the captain for his country who aren't a bad side.

What greater ability does he have?

He has less positional sense than Dawson.

He is poorer in the air.

His organisational skills aren't anywhere near as good either (yes I know, new team/language and all that bullshit).

Remember, we are discussing a centre half here.

Out of curiosity, would you like David Luiz in our team? He has more 'ability' than all our defenders combined but he is still an absolute liability.

I definitely wouldn't, and Vlad is nowhere near as good as him.

I hope AVB tells him to just clear the danger at times and not always try to bring the ball under control.
BAE got away with it a lot but i dont want the CB's trying to turn the striker with no cover.

Great to watch when it comes off, but a couple of times yesterday where he got lucky
