Dawson still has to play over Chiriches for me, until at least after Christmas. Chriches is the Assou-Ekotto of centrebacks at the moment. Nonchalent skill, good going forward, but prone to completely outrageous errors.

I thought our defence against Sheriff was absolutely shocking. The game last night reminded me of the West Ham game and with a little extra composure and quality in front of goal, the score could've been similar. I also think Vertonghen looks shakey at the moment.

Walkers the best right back we've had in the Prem era, and still young and going to get better, yet some of you seem determined to hound him out of our Club? You're gonna regret this if you carry on trust me, theres a certain moneybags team that plays in blue that would love to have him if he became available.
Agreed, Cardiff city would love to have him.

Has Vlad played full back before elsewhere? Thought it was odd he want to RB rather than verts to LB.

Naughton was getting torn up at RB, we had to make a change and putting someone who could defend against the winger was a good call IMO.

Would be good to see Rose back as we have 2 more mid week games coming up so we have almost 2 teams fighting for the starts in the PL.

So 2 games to keep your place in the team, or 2 games to win your place.

Chriiches looked much better and calmer last night, looks like he will be a good player for us

It was almost a blessing Fryers getting injured cos it enabled us to get Naughton out of the firing line.

I've defended Naughton plenty but he was awful on the right last night, not nearly so bad on the left.

As for Chiriches, he's hard not to like!

There will always be people that don't trust him because he's more of a Luiz type than a Dawson but i've no problems with him. Could well be an absolute bargain and long term his intelligence could enhance our play, especially since so much of our play is orientated around the centre backs these days! If he's now our default RB cover then that's no bad thing either.

Sadly he will be disliked for the odd error as much as he will be liked for what he can do on the ball.

I suspect a blind eye will be turned, or it will be pinned on Dawson for not covering him correctly. Some players are allowed a mistake.

Chiriches is a proper entertainer. He is going to be popular.

My Man United supporting flatmate watched the game yesterday and promptly formed a massive man-crush on Vlad. "What a glorious crazy bastard" he said, looking starry eyed as I sat there yelping at Vlad doing something incredibly alarming defensively.

Like doing a sky dive, I suspect he'll be an extreme mixture of awe-inspiring and terrifying.

Not impressed by the lad, he looks like an accident about to happen - but early days.

I can't believe what I am reading.

He has been really poor on all three occasions I have seen so far.

Him and Fryers look a million miles away from our starting eleven.

But MM, he has all the tools to be a good defender and a he can cover right along the back row - now I like that.

I will just have to get more valium for match days.
