How could you not want this guy?
Not saying he should be brought in as a starting 11 player, BUT "IF" he was happy being a squad player and getting a few games a season then his experience in the squad would be insane.

Would rather have a Seedorf on the bench than some of the dross we have had this season.

As long as ... it should be said ... it is not to the detriment of other incomings, i.e. it's not instead of a Modric style replacement just because Harry or Levy is unsure on splashing the cash. I don't want this as a stop gap, just saying if available and conditions right, then why not. :)

He'd be another Edgar. Not the focal point but a touch of klarse. It feels like a signing we should have moved on from but that wouldn't make it a bad move for a yr, should we lose Modric. Whoever replaces Modric would be a step-down in the immediate future - be it we can't find anyone or the new guy needs a season to adjust/adapt. Seedorf could plug that gap.

I'm not exactly jumping for joy about it but in the right circs, it shouldn't be dismissed as folly or a gimmick.

cant really go wrong on a free transfer with this guy, in his day he was up there with the best of the best and still looked pretty decent in serie a last year.

aslong as he isnt a replacement for anyone, or counted as a 'proper' signing if you get my drift, i would definately say yes.

He still has it in his locker to drive the midfield forward, a free transfer, 1 yr contract, really can't see it as a bad thing.

Year older than Gallas, not exactly in his 40s yet.
Like Davids he used to support Spurs as a kid as well.

No thanks - even if we lose Modric, who I'd hope we'd replace by spending the millions, I wouldn't have Seedorf before Parker, Sandro, Hudd or Livermore.

Are we building a squad to play in an over 30's league or one that can compete for the Premsiership?

I'd buy him..... on FIFA 12

But seriously, he's a legend and he still has a lot of talent. Is he getting slower? Yes, but he's still a very good player IMO. Even as a sub or semi regular starter I'd love to see him in a Spurs kit.

Agreed. Age doesn't automatically weary nor the years condemn. Or something. It's a squad game nowadays. He'd be great in the squad. The only thing I'd insist is that he wore Edgar's specs. just for the fun of it.

Couldn't get near him in the 2nd leg match against Milan at WHL a few seasons back. Played in a deeper role that game, and if Modric left, I wouldn't mind Seedorf coming in to play second fiddle to Huddlestone, and is versatile enough to play further up the pitch too

We brought Parker in to be the older head in the centre of the park and help younger players from his experience, with all due respect to Seedorf we have squad size limitations and we have REAL business we need to sort out. How many of these older half coach half players can one squad carry? King/Gallas/Parker/Friedel we'd be able to play half of them in the masters 5 a side
