Milan are letting him go for a reason, we dont need their cast offs

I'm inclined to agree with this - Milan are the best club in the world at extending quality old players' careers as long as scientifically possible.
If they're letting him go then they obviously think he's done, it doesn't suggest that he's ready to move to a more physically demanding league.

Didn't Milan let Pirlo go and he has pulled the strings for Juve this season on the way to the title. I do think Seedorf is too old, I remember reading a Milan forum when we played them and they didn't think he was still up to it back then.

I'd be worried we'd still have some of gallas Nelsen saha Friedel king, maybe Seedorf and Anelka perhaps a loan signing or two. We bring in a new boss next season and immediately need to replace 6 or 7 of our previous 25 registered players
If he's good enough get him in. But Huddleston was instrumental in getting up top 4 2 years back along with Modric in the middle. He has something to offer us

The whole thing reminds me of when we signed Davids. However player wise we're not the same club as back then and frankly midfield is one area where we have some experienced heads.

I think the arguments for are only there under the assumption that space is freed up in the squad and that most of our older players are gone, thus seedorf would be one of the few older experienced winners at the club, rather than 1 of 7.

You always need a couple of people around who have seen it all and done it all, no you don't want a team full if them, but again... Under the right conditions I could see this as positive.

Yeah, fair enough on Pirlo mate - but having said that, I don't think his level of success at Juve would have been replicated had he chosen to move to the Premiership instead. Too physical for him now, less time on the ball to weave his magic!

I suppose its possible that Seedorf could help develop Sandro's game beyond anything benefit Parker can give him

I wouldn't cry or moan if this signing happened but its not one I think we need to be making, I just hope it isn't instead of the type of signing we actually need to make.

I don't usually agree in signing older players. But if we are going to be signing any its players in the Davids/Seedoorf level of quality. Players who have been there at the pinnacle of the game and won it all domestically. Not journeymen players like Saha, Nelsen, Cole and Parker.

If we sell Parker with profit now, we can get Seedorf in as the experienced midfielder on a free. I think Seedorf is a bigger legend for younger players than Parker is.

So true. You need to think a bit outside the box also when it comes to football. I have different opinions than most people when it comes to signings, but I also know that you need to go against the mainstream to succeed in this business.

Why the hell would we get rid of Scotty Parker? He was our player of the season!

yeah all the top teams go right against the mainstream with their signings dont they.

im all for taking risks on buying good young prospects, thats how i think spurs run best.

but selling our player of the season to buy a 37 year old who even ac milan's staff (best medical department in the world might i add) believe is past being of any use. Its also worth noting that serie A is renowned for being an 'oldies' league, where the game suits them, so if he can no longer cut it there, the prem will be a step up even from that.

I take it those who are saying he's well passed it never actually watched him last season? He was as excellent as ever and is in superb condition too. Just because he's 36 doesn't mean he wouldn't be a good signing for a year or two. Normally it's better to watch a player play before completely writing his ability off...

If we sell Parker with profit now ...

Dude, you know those 'sweeties' you've been eating?

Check the bottle, I'm pretty sure you will see a name on them, and it's not going to be Rowntree's or Cadbury's. ;)
