I repeat:You keep talking about 'his other contributions' but I've shown you stats that show they are in line with your two darlings and you just ignore them? But ok, we aren't basing this on goals or assists, or any other recognised statistic, or any piece of evidence at all. Just on your anecdotal evidence and anyone who doesn't have such a broad, encyclopaedic knowledge of football can't comment on whether we should spend many millions on replacing a player with other players with similar stats. What a great debate this is.
And to answer your point would you allow me a little latitude? Have you ever seen either of them play outside of our first CL game? If so, how many games? Answer those and I will respond. My point being if you only understand football and a players ability by going on squawka then... Because judging by your question I can only assume you have never seen them play...in their inferior league.
Simple questions. I asked for latitude in answering a question with a question but they are simple questions. You won't answer them because you haven't seen them play so you think your ignorance will 'lose' you the debate. It won't as I don't care and can already tell you've never seen them play save for probably our fir CL game. But the point is a player is more than sterile stats.
Dele's play is justified by stats but if you watch him you realize he lacks in many areas. This isn't FIFA and a players contribution to a team effort is not dictated by stats. They should be used to explain and characterized a players game retrospectively. But for those that cannot evaluated using their eyes and understanding of the game they resort to stats, with little understanding of how they are derived and less understanding of how they should be applied. Look at every ignorant English pundit with the Modric conundrum...he needs more goals in him. No he doesn't and didn't as he was always just perfect they way he was. That is unless you would class Frank fat fuck Lampard as a better player. He did score more goals and as we know goals are most important.
