It was a tired challenge.

You could see he only missed the ball by thousands/hundreds of a second, but it looked awful.

Stop making excuses. It was a dreadful challenge that could have ended the guys career.

Tired challenge???
90th minute and I could maybe understand that, but it was in the first half.

There are no excuses for that kind of challenge. We'd be fuming if an opposition player did it to one of ours.

UEFA 'reviewing' Alli's sending off according to breaking news on SSN. Shouldn't be any more than a 3 game ban so don't know why they're looking at taking it further.

A red card is usually a one-game ban in UEFA competitions.

Do suspensions carry on until the next season? Having Alli out for any CL games next season (if we get there) would be a fucking nightmare.

They're probably gonna let him off with a warning. Yeah, that's probably it.

He just missed clipping the ball, but his trajectory was dangerous, I'm not defending it, just defending intent.

They certainly do. Straight red for violent conduct must be a 3 game ban, I would have thought.

It won't matter as it will only affect City, Real or whichever CL team he joins in the summer...:D

He 100% went for the ball and it's obvious by the way his leg went into the challenge.

Unfortunately for him he completely fucked it up and rightly got sent off.

I think this.. Though there was some definite red mist involved after not getting the foul against him just before that. he flew in for a hard tackle and ballsed it up. The other player closed the space too so the point of contact was his shin and not the ball/ankle

He should take some tips from his mate Dier on how to get away with hard tackles :D

I will always support Dele. However the man himself should put his hands up and apologies for his rash tackle and admit that he was wrong. When he understands the gravity of the tackle the quicker he will learn to control that rashness.
