My only optimism of us doing anything is because Levy might actually be afraid of Poch leaving so he'll do something. If it wasn't for that I'd have no hope.
I agree with so much that you post it feels weird to oppose your view here. But i dont think Levy is gonna sign players based on a fear of Poch leaving. If that were true we would have signed in the summer. And if the sentiment were true we wouldnt have added duribg the death throes of Ramos or Sherwood.
My view is we will add because we need to. It was an error to sign nobody in summer imo, not because we needed first teamers but because we needed squad players. I accept the 'sell to buy' model, but our injuries this season have us down to the bones. My personal onion is that Levy thought our squad was good enough for top 4, fair enough. But its exactly the likes of Alli that we didnt have suitable cover for that has hit our play style.
Im not saying we need a cover player at the level of Alli, but our existing replacements are basically shit. Lets move them on and try for the likes of Grealish or Cheek (no chance) who could at least be a better fill option for Alli
