Redknapp said it because it's glaringly obvious that Berbatov is exactly what Man Utd ned. That doesn't mean they will or can get him. Berbatov's attitude against Sunderland should be read as the frustration of a committed player to an awlul performance. There is nothing to worry about here. Redknapp is paid by Sky to state the blatantly obvious, Utd don't have a nine (except sicknote Saha) and we have the best in the Premiership along with Drogba. Anyway , why would anyone want to leave us for Utd, they're in a relegation struggle!

If we beat them on Sunday...will that count as a top 4 scalp?

Some presenter on Talksport hinted at the same thing yesterday. They basically said that they would not be surprised if the whole deal happened as he does not look like he wants to be at Spurs.

And this was all before the Man Utd game. Regardless of what happens, I wish I could retrospectively go to the bookies and have a flutter on 3 games no wins, two draws, one goal for Man Utd.

Fergie for the sack, what are his odds to go after the weekend result - 4 games, no wins, two draw and one goal.

On GG today, someone has posted this:

Berbatov gave an interview to the Bulgarian New Television yesterday. On the question whether he is going to stay at Spurs he said: There are still 12 days till the transfer window closes. I do not exclude the possibility for moving to another club.
He didn't say the usual "I'm happy at Spurs". He looks as if something has happened during the summer. He may be disappointed with someone/something at Tottenham.

Maybe Berbs looked off in the first 2 games because he was carrying an Injury. I can't see him leaving this season, he was very loyal to leverkussen and does not seem motivated by money.

I noticed bloody Jamie Redkanpp suggesting the manYoo need a striker and suggesting that berbatov is the man.......just the sort of help we need from an ex-player!!!

Last season Redknapp was saying that Berbatov was good enough to play for a top four side like Chelsea or Manchester United. Don't you just love Sky Sport :-|

But he is just the man Manchester United need, and he is good enough to play for a top four side. Damn that Jamie Redknapp for telling the truth.

I think that he will go to United...

Here in Bulgaria people and media talk much about this option. 2 days ago i was listening to a live interview with Berba for Bulgarian TV Show and he said "There are 11 days before tje transfer window closes, everything may happen". That was his answer to a question like "English reporter said that Manchester Untited really needs Berbatov at this moment".

Ramos is a big admirer of Berbatov, he wanted him in 2005. I don't think that we are going to let Berbatov go if Ramos comes here.

Berbatov can go if he wants....we shouldn't stand in his way, get the highest offer and let him F-OFF just like Carrick.

Ledley King would be a biggest blow imo if he left or couldn't play again.

dawson is better than king ever was already. i know he's our captain but please, grow some eyes!

:stupid: Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but my god man are you serious.
This is the stupidest thing I'll ever read, I'm sure of it. I never thought the day would come when someone would have the audacity to say Dawson is better than King.
DAWSON IS NOT AS GOOD AS KING AND I BELIEVE HE NEVER EVER WILL BE. HE'LL NEVER BE IN KING'S LEAGUE. I think he's a good defender but better than King......NEVER
