You're just showing you have no real understanding of Poch's footballing and managerial philosophy. Sturridge is antithesis of a Pochettino player. It's quite close to Klopp's and if a player doesn't fit in to a Klopp team, he's unlikely to fit into a Pochettino one.

With all due respect I fully understand what Poch is all about, it doesn't take a footballing genius to see what he is trying to implement at Spurs.

The clear difference between you and I is that I am open minded enough to believe that players can function differently under different coaches, irrespective of the fact that they may share a similar footballing philosophy, they are still different people. For all you and I know, Klopp may just not like Sturridge as a person. Their personalities may clash or maybe Klopp just doesn't like the way that Sturridge plays techincally and doesn't want to waste his time trying to coach him - we don't know either way. The reality here is that you clearly don't rate Sturridge personally and have therefore decided that Poch doesn't rate him either when in reality you have no idea.

For the record, I don't expect us to be signing Sturridge, not for one second. I was merely pointing out that it could be worth a look if Poch felt he could get the best out of him.

And when this player isn't banging in goals instantaneously, I guess you'll want him gone as well?
We needs goals in this team. Or someone who can contribute past 30' without being completely shot. Janssen does neither and its been almost 3 months. Seriously when his fitness levels still arent improving at least a little bit, how can one hold hope that he can suddenly start scoring? I like him but i dont want to see him again for a few months. He needs to be put on a special fitness training regimen now. We'll try again next season.

You didn't answer my question.

We also someone to provide for these strikers and more width.
We have attacking full-backs, Son, Nkoudou and Sissoko. More intelligence is going to allow us to create more chances, not more pace.

According to Nabil, everything was handled professionally and no bridges were burned. I wrote in the Nabil thread that if he indeed came back, the 4141 would suit him perfectly. I've always argued that he was/is better going forward than in his deep lying role.

I'm gonna put this out there, may be a little crazy at this point but a feeling I've had in my gut even when Bentaleb was in team and this other chap wasn't...

Winks >>>>>>> Bentaleb...

I think the emergence of Winks will mitigate the loss of Nabil. Talented player but for whatever reason, Poch and Bentaleb decided to call it quits and move on. We have a strong spine for years to come and we have yet to see Winks + Onomah playing central for us ( IMO those two together will be incredibly important for us in years to come).

I voted 'Yes'.
At the start of the season we appeared to have at least two players for every position except Eriksen's central attacking midfield role. While we're not short of others can play here, they don't provide the same level of creativity.
As Eriksen hasn't really hit the highs so far this season, the fact that we're missing a like-for-like replacement (or someone that could play alongside him) has become more obvious. And we've lacked spark, even further, in the attacking third when Eriksen's played a deeper roll.
I don't think we need someone with great speed as much as someone with a quick brain. A creator more than a goal scorer.
Who this is, I'm not sure. A few years back, I thought this could be Alan Dzagoev at CSKA but he seems to have flattered to deceive.
Obviously, I'd happily take Isco or Payet or .....???

Does anyone know what's happening with Deulofeu, at Everton? He's not getting a regular game.

Fekir and Draxler would be good but appreciate Draxler's price tag might be prohibitive now we've blown 42m on Nkoudou and Sissoko.

As an alternative, a player with pace and brains (more wide forward than "10" type) is Brandt (Leverkusen) - but again his stock is high.

Who realistically is going to be available to us? Bearing in mind as well that purchase from within the PL simply will not happen unless the selling club is actively looking to get rid of the player, and isn't a rival to us.
