Unfortunately he signed a contract extension in November up to 2027. I like him but don't think he's available.
I think his contract will have a release clause but probably in the 70 mil plus range. I don't see us spending that sort of fee on any one player this summer as we still have too much squad building across the park to address. In future windows we might well get to a point where a 70/80 even 90 mil player might be more feasible because we will only be looking to add one or two players a window, but for now even with sales we will need to spread our budget.

Also, given our current weaknesses on the wings, if i was going to spend that sort of money on a single player i'd say use it on Kvara rather then Eze but neither are realistic targets for us at present unfortunately.

I know Eze and Olise are grabbing the spotlight but he’s been really good from what I’ve seen, one of their best players of late. Very good signing by them.

The few Palace fans I know absolutely love him as well which is normally a good sign.

It's a great fit for both player and club - should develop his game well there under Glasner and i'm sure in no time he will be seriously linked with the established 'big boys'.

Exactly the sort of player we need but we probably need to be looking for the next Eze rather than the actual Eze.

He's started every game for them since signing in January, so staying put for now is probably the best thing for his development.

Depends on our budget I suppose. How old is he mabye mid 20’s? If only 1.5yrs left on contract and CAA Base represent him then we could look to strike a deal, could play LW or n.o 10 for us :)

thing is we're already strong in those positions with Maddison and Son but the fact that he can play either spot is a plus for sure. I think a right wing player is more important at the moment which is why I would like Olise more, but of course people worry about his injury history.

I think he's the ideal player for us in that he can cover both positions. So in Son, Maddison & Eze we would have 3 very strong players across LW and AM.

That then still leaves room for bringing in say Werner and another wing option for the right to compete with Johnson.

For me Deki will have to adapt and drop into midfield going forwards, he doesn't fit the mould of an Ange winger.

In a perfect world we have a mid and forward squad like this next season:

LW: Son, Werner, Eze
FW: New ST, Son, Veliz,
RW: Johnson, New RW, Deki
AM: Maddison, Eze, Deki
CM: Sarr, Bentancur, Bergvall
DM: New DM, Bissouma, Bentancur

You then have 12 first team level players across 6 positions, with Veliz and Bergvall getting game time too, as well as some U21 players in the squad that can get appearances and act as emergency cover.

Assuming we sell: Lo Celso (£10m), PEH (£15m), Skipp (£5m), Gil (£10m) and release Ndobmele, then we've got both space and some incoming funds to cover Eze, New RW and new DM.

New ST is very much dependant on selling Richarlison.

In defence we should be able to cover incoming spend with outgoing sales, as we need minimal change there, just some full back options for Porro and Udogie.

The one thing I wonder is can Eze play the left forward role the way Ange wants? The wide forwards start pretty far out and then (I think) the idea is to beat the man and create chances by pull backs and low crosses into the area. Idk if Eze is that player, he seems better to me more suited to being in the half space like where Maddison is. He'd probably be more suited to that left midfielder role imo. But then the question is does he have the work rate for that position? Anyway I'm sure he'd fit in our team somewhere.

For the striker, I don't think it's dependent on selling Richarlison. We need 2 players per position and I think Richarlison is a perfectly good rotation option. We're gonna have so many games if we get CL or Europa league, we need a big squad. An extra 4-5 players in my opinion.
