The way I look at nuno now is that he is just a caretaker manager until the legend comes back or we get someone decent.

After mucking around conte, we sounded out poch. Rumours were that he wasn’t happy at PSG. But his bosses weren’t about to let him leave so soon after hiring him.
I think levy has a plan in place to bring back poch by the summer at the latest- on the mistaken idea that this will make everything in the garden rosy.
Whereas I think we should be going hard for either potter or gallardo.
Can’t remember the last time we gave a 2 year contract to a new manager, can you?I love how people seem to be assuming NES is a caretaker. We have no concrete evidence this is the case beyond him being about 10th choice and on a 2 year contract which isn't an unusual length of contract for a new manager. SO based on there being no way of knowing if he's a caretaker, I'd want him sacked asap and us to install a manager we can all get behind. We are wasting potentially the last year of Kane's career and Son's best years with a patsy,
Just because the club made a mistake, you don't prolong the mistake which then becomes another mistake, you rectify it immediately.
If the plan is to wait for Poch, I think it shows how clueless Levy is. The last 18 months of Poch's reign were disastrous, and he failed to get us over the line in any competition despite being here for 5 years or so. Yes I'd take him over NES but I really would have hoped the club had a clear plan to progress the club forward which didn't involve Poch, but it seems that is too much to hope for.
We genuinely do seem to be run by clowns.
It's pretty normal in world football right now. Look at Tuchel and Poch ex.Can’t remember the last time we gave a 2 year contract to a new manager, can you?
Someone decent costs money. Levy opened his wallet the other day and a moth flew out gasping for air. The fiver he had in there was printed on goatskin in latin. The way I look at nuno now is that he is just a caretaker manager until the legend comes back or we get someone decent.
I think this is the main point. I believe Levy favours the DOF system. I think he put a lot of hope into Arnesen and Comolli. Redknapp and Poch didn't want one. Can’t remember the last time we gave a 2 year contract to a new manager, can you?

This is literally what we have, and despite the disproportionate vitriol on here every time we let a goal in, he’s doing a reasonable job.
Not a world beating job. Not an incredible job. Not a mind blowingly spectacular job.
But an adequate one, which has put us 6th in the league with a winnable run of games coming up.
Everyone on here would have taken that at the beginning of the season from a manager who is transparently only here for a year.
Every. Single. Person.
Yes would take gerrard as well. Parker I’m less sure about but they are all options.I would certainly agree with you there - I've warmed to the idea of Potter a lot. I'd add Gerrard and Parker to the list, too, if they keep performing well in their current clubs.
I don't, and have never, thought that Poch returning is the answer.
But I do think that's Levy's plan.
And in any case, Nuno is clearly a convenient stop gap who was available when we desperately needed to appoint someone to end the farce that was our manager search.

Last summer’s management search has to go down in history as one of the clubs worst moments.
Chaotic, inept and embarrassing
I think this summers manager search became a symbol for most of our footballing decisions since our summer with no signings.Yes would take gerrard as well. Parker I’m less sure about but they are all options.
